As the sun disappears behind Castle Dominaria, the King can't help but grin. Peeking over his line of armed Knights, he spies on the peasants with glee as they argue with minutes to spare over who should be Lynched. The fan favourite pick seems to be Rubik, at first, garnering an impressive 4 votes—in fact, 6 votes in all were made against Rubik, just not all at the same time. Will their lack of coordination be their downfall? The King laughs at the private thought.
"We've reached a decision!" A peasant shouts from the crowd.
The King of Dominaria looks over in the direction of the voice, expecting to see Rubik being presented for the noose, but to his great surprise, somehow the votes made a last-minute swing toward shadow amber. What great luck! Amber will perish after all! "Excellent," the King says to himself.
And so it was on the second Day of the King's peasant survivor game that shadow amber done did get Lynched.
She was a Town-Aligned Royal Inquisitor of Dominaria.
It is now Night Two. Night Two will last until 2PM Eastern Time on Monday unless all possible Night actions are submitted and processed before then, in which case the Night will end early. You may not post in the game thread at Night unless your role allows you to do so.

@Dusky: Not on your life.
Looks being partially aligned to me didn't help Amber survive. Such a shame.
I can only wonder who is next on the chopping block. I think this time around, I'll abstain just to see who you all go after. Two are down, and that doesn't leave many outside of the block. You'll have to crack and go for each other -- if you want to live that is.

Most definitely. How do you think things are going so far, Rag? I know you want me to lose, but perhaps you could entertain me by making someone else lose first. Your choice. Who do you pick?

@Naga:
I'll get right to the point.
Let's play a game.
You kill ExLight tonight, I don't stop you from living.
I'll know your answer once the next day phase starts.
I hope you side with me, least you end up like Amber.

i think things are progressing for the rebel agenda but without knowing what their endgame is or even what their capabilities are like its hard to say what the state of the game is currently.
i pick you

I cannot wait to see who is next to be fed to all you bloodthirsty sharks.
I know Rubik is a fan favorite, but Ex should go. If not Ex, then Dusky works since she's the one trying to be neighborly.
I care not except for how you will all entertain me. I await the next performance from all of you stunning actors/actresses.

For what it's worth, Naga, don't listen to the dissenters. If you're a loyal subject of the crown, then do as the crown has bid you. Failure to do so will, more than likely, keep you alive as the rabble probably won't lynch you; however, if they need to by time, then they may just lynch you. Depends how they approach buying time and trusting whether the executioner will pardon anyone else from death.

This morning, you awake to find you've been allowed to sleep in. Huh? That's strange. YesterDay you were awoken by guards at the crack of dawn so that the games would continue for the King. What's going on?
You emerge from your shelter to find a crowd gathered around where the games took place. Pushing through, you reach the center at last to find the Queen in tears, holding the body of... yes... the King of Dominaria!
The King has been slain!
Not far, his head sits, smug as ever on the ground staring up into the sky. Above him stands the Executioner... His axe bloody. "I had to do it... For the good of the land, I had to commit regicide. God, forgive me."
The Queen, still in tears, says under her breath, "The King's ambition was his own downfall. Now begone, the lot of you. I must mourn."
And so the end of an era came. The King, in a paranoid bid to rid the realm of all who stood against him, merely ended up rallying them to stand stronger. Now the immortal King lies dead, and the land of Dominaria will never be the same.
At least, until the Queen gets bored and decides to repeat her husband's antics...
THE END.
The Winners: Queenie, Rubik, Ragnarokio, Naga, Tevish Szat, Duskyblue, Skystone, _ExLight, Minish, Hello World
The Losers: KingofDominaria, Aaarrrgh, shadow amber
MVP: Queenie/JayDreven/Numbers - for playing everyone to achieve a victory for yourself and as many of your subjects as possible in record time, despite the many obstacles working against you.

The Royals
Zinger2099 wrote:
Long live the King!
You are the King of Dominaria. You rule over the land of Dominaria with an iron fist as its one, true ruler. The people love you, fear you, respect you, bow to you. Their lives are yours to play with at your whims, and play with them you shall for that is your royal birthright.
You are Crown-Aligned, and you win the game when all threats to the Crown have been vanquished.
Recently, there has been sedition among the people of Dominaria. Talk of a rebellion uprising in the shadows. How could they? Have you not been a magnanimous and benevolent King?! Well, maybe not so much, but so what? You are their King and you do not have to earn their loyalty—it is your god-given divinely appointed right to rule them!
It would be a simple matter to have them all executed, but unfortunately, you don't know who these rebels are. They could be anybody! But you think you've narrowed it down to a list of just 11 possible candidates. Still, you can't tip your hand that you're on to them, lest they find a way to escape. So you've come up with a ploy, a game of life and death for your amusement. The fools won't expect a thing! After all, you have pitted townsfolk against one another in a fight to the death before simply to amuse you, why would they suspect this time is any different? That's right. A dangerous game of life and death for the amusement of the King... And if these supposed Rebels just so happen to be eliminated in the process? So much the better!
Being King affords you unrivaled benefits. You are Bulletproof and Lynchproof; this means, under normal circumstances, you cannot be killed or lynched. There may be rare situations that could result in someone bypassing these passive traits, but they will have to contend with your super move: Wall of Text. Whenever you post a massive rant of at least 500 words (non-quoted) in the game thread, you activate your Wall of Text. If the post in question identifies exactly one other player by name, whose name you bold in the post, that player becomes buried beneath your Wall of Text until you use the ability again. A player so buried is effectively Roleblocked, and cannot make use of their activated abilities. There is no limit to how many times you can do this, but only one player may be under the effects of it at a time.
As King, you may post in the game thread at any time, Day or Night.
You do not get a vote in the Lynch decision-making process, but if a player has not been Lynched by a clear majority (half the living players, plus one) by the end of a Day, you get to execute the player of your choice instead. There is no situation in which it isn't in your favor to execute someone in this way. As long as the game persists, there are threats to the Crown still out there.
You may chat with your waifu, the Queen of Dominaria, at any time, in your private courtroom, The King's Court. Your Queenie is also mod-confirmed to be Crown-Aligned. If you two love-birds ever get bored, you can issue an irrevocable invitation to the court Jester to join you there for your own personal entertainment, in which case he or she will be sent an invite link.
The game has begun. Time to hunt some Rebels. Long live the King of Dominaria!
You are the Queen of Domiaria, loyal waifu to the King. You know what they say, behind every great King is a greater Queen. If the King is the power on the throne, then you are the power behind it. He could not rule without you to hold him up.
Lately, your hubby has been acting a little crazy. He has paranoid delusions of rebellions plotting to overthrow him and talks of slaughtering everyone in the kingdom—if he has to—in order to quell them. There is always unrest in every monarchy, and it's true that there are rebels plotting against the King, but the very idea that such insignificant peasants could overthrow your invincible King is lunacy. He holds all the power here, and he might very well kill everyone for perceived threats that don't really exist. That just won't do. A monarchy without a people to govern is hardly a monarchy at all, and so, you will do what any good queen must in such a dilemma—support your King on the surface while manipulating him and his subjects to ensure the continued prosperity of your kingdom.
You are Crown-Aligned, and you win if, when the game ends, there are more Living Players than Dead Players.
You share an alignment with your King, but you do not share his win condition—in fact, your win conditions are, in all likelihood, not compatible. His goal is to vanquish all threats to the Crown, but he doesn't see that the real threat to the Crown is him. His paranoia will most likely destroy the kingdom long before he stops all the Rebels, and a Crown without a kingdom is no Crown at all! You love your King, but if the King of Dominaria must Die so that your kingdom lives, then Die he shall!
Being Queen affords you several benefits. Like the King, you are Lynchproof; this means, under normal circumstances, you cannot be lynched. That said, unlike your King, you are not Bulletproof—you can be killed normally by killing moves. You are also immune to being Roleblocked. This includes immunity to the King's Wall of Text ability. Furthermore, and perhaps most importantly, as Queen, you exist in the King's blind spot. You and you alone can give the Rebels an opening to ambush the King. If it becomes necessary, for the continued prosperity of your kingdom, you may target a player each Night to allow them access to the King's private bed chambers. Doing this allows a player's killing abilities (if they have any) to bypass the King's Bulletproof shielding for that Night.
As Queen, you may post in the game thread at any time, Day or Night.
You do not get a vote in the Lynch decision-making process. As Queen, you must remain an impartial observer while the peasant masses kill each other in service to the King. That said, there is no rule that says you mustn't make suggestions...
You may chat with your King at any time, in your private courtroom, The King's Court. The King knows you share his alignment, but not that your win conditions differ. If you two love-birds ever get bored, you can issue an irrevocable invitation to the court Jester to join you there for your own personal entertainment, in which case he or she will be sent an invite link.
The game has begun. Good luck. Long live the King of Dominaria!
You are the Court Jester of Dominaria. It is your job to endlessly entertain the royals until the day they grow bored of your antics when they'll likely have you killed before replacing you with a new Jester.
You are a Crown-Aligned survivor, and you win if you are still alive when the game ends.
Things are tense right now. The King must be growing bored with your acts because he has summoned a bunch of peasants to his court to watch them kill each other in some kind of life or death game. The good news is, other people are getting killed instead of you. The bad news is, there's no telling if you'll be next. Maybe, just maybe, if you can survive to the end of this "game", you'll have a better idea of what the King wants to see to keep him and the Queen entertained for many moons to come.
Being the Court Jester, you have a lot of one-off tricks up your sleeve. Each Night you may select a different one-shot ability from a list to use for that Night. Unfortunately, you're too paranoid by the thought that if you don't keep practicing new routines it'll cost you your neck, so each Night you must choose to do something new, even if it is a terrible routine that might make you come off more foolish than entertaining. If you do nothing, one of your remaining abilities will be chosen for you at random. The abilities that require you to choose a player may not be used on yourself. The one-shot abilities you can choose from are:
Spy on a player to learn what they get up to that Night
Distract a player to interfere with whatever they were trying to do
Protect a player from being killed, at the risk that you might get killed instead (60% true protection/40% martyr protection)
Try on a costume; investigation abilities used on you turn up more interesting results
Incite anarchy; the next player to die does not reveal their alignment upon death
Spread some seditious rumours about a player; votes against them to count for 33% more on the following Day
Start a food fight; all targeting abilities used this Night hit random targets instead
Classic Jester; your win condition becomes "you win the game when you die" for this Night only
Juggle some balls—this has no apparent effect, but it is fun to watch
Play the fool—start the following Day with a bonus irrevocable vote against you
If you somehow reach a point in the game where you have used every last ability on your list, you may then reuse abilities a second time. This is very unlikely, so don't get your hopes up.
As the Court Jester, you may post in the game thread at any time, Day or Night.
Despite being aligned to the Crown, you get to vote in the Lynch decision-making process. Unfortunately, this also means you're just as likely to be hanged as the common peasant rabble currently in the court. Win some, lose some.
The doors to the King's private chat room, The King's Court, are closed right now, but at any time you might be summoned and required to appear.
The game has begun. Good luck. Long live the King of Dominaria!
You are the Leader of the Rebellion. Your father owned great swaths of the land in the kingdom Dominarans call home. Though you have no place in government—you do not rule any part of the kingdom by any stretch—as a lord and landowner, you have always felt a protective kinship towards the people that live in your ancestral homeland. As a noble steward of the land, you have always used your wealth and influence to better the lives of others, not take from them. This philosophy stands in stark contrast to the King of Dominaria, who rules over his people with an iron fist. The childish monarch's latest antics have gone too far; plucking people from their homes and dragging them to the court to make them fight each other to the death purely for his amusement? No. The time has come to stand up to this insane King, and put a stop to him once and for all before there is any more bloodshed on your father's land.
You are Rebel-Aligned, and you win the game when the King of Dominaria is dead.
You have made it into the King's court. Disguised as a simple peasant, you managed to get yourself picked for the King's latest life-and-death game of "Peasant Survivor". You've never been closer to the King, and may never be again. Now is your chance to strike! But you can't do it alone. You have help—your trusted friend and skilled assassin has made it here under the guise of a peasant, too—but you may need the support of the rest of the rabble if you're going to band together and overthrow the King.
As the Rebel Leader, you can recruit people to your cause. Each Night, you may choose to recruit one other player that you haven't tried to recruit before. When you do this, two things will happen. 1. First, that player will be told your alignment, before anything else, and invited to your secret chat room, The Ragnarokio's Revenge. 2. Second, if that player is Town-Aligned, they will be offered the opportunity to become Rebel-Aligned instead, changing their alignment and gaining your win condition. The choice is theirs—they don't have to say yes, but saying no does not revoke their permission to access your secret chat room unless you say it does (in which case, they are kicked).
As the Rebel Leader, you may post in the game thread at any time, Day or Night.
As a disguised peasant playing in the King's murder-games, you have to vote in the Lynch decision-making process. You hate to see people Lynched as part of this game, but until you have the means to kill the King you have to play along; the King will just Execute someone anyway if you find a way to thwart the Lynch, and that'd just reveal your hand.
You may chat with your partners in the rebellion at any time in your secret chat room, The Ragnarokio's Revenge!
The game has begun. Good luck. And remember, KoD Must Die!
You are the Rebel Assassin. You are a highly trained expert killing machine, a former member of the King's elite Dominaria Assassin Guild. Once upon a time, you were the answer to delicate political problems. The King would send you personally behind enemy lines of rival kingdoms to take out leaders that refused to play by Dominaria's rules. Now, the delicate problem isn't a foreign leader, but a local one. The current King of Dominaria is the worst in the history of the land, and if he is not stopped it will bring about the downfall of everything you have spent a lifetime trying to protect. You are an assassin of the guild no more. Now, you rebel.
You are Rebel-Aligned, and you win the game when the King of Dominaria is dead.

You have help—the leader of the rebellion has made it here under the guise of a peasant, too—but you may need the support of the rest of the rabble if you're going to band together and overthrow the King.
As the Rebel Assassin, you are an expert at dishing out quick death and making it look like an accident. Each Night you may target a player to kill them. If nobody was voting the player you targeted at the end of the previous Day, you can set the murder up to look like an accident and cover up any details about the victim you'd prefer didn't see the light of Day. In such a case, you'll get told the role name and alignment of the killed individual, and you can scrub either or both clean before they hit the death post. It is your sincerest hope that the day is coming where you can use this ability on the King, but you know at current he's impossible to get to. The King is Bulletproof, and nearly invincible. You will need outside help if you are to take him down.
Instead of killing someone, you can choose to spend the Night training another Rebel-Aligned player to become your successor as a backup Rebel Assassin. When you train another Rebel to be an assassin, you and they are both effectively Roleblocked for that Night. The backup assassin inherits your role if you die. You cannot train the Rebel Leader in this way.
The Rebel Assassin may post in the game thread only during the Day.
As a disguised peasant playing in the King's murder-games, you may vote in the Lynch decision-making process. Death is something you are accustomed to, and it probably doesn't bother you too much that a few innocent lives need to perish to get you closer to your ultimate target.
You may chat with your partners in the rebellion at any time in your secret chat room, The Ragnarokio's Revenge!
The game has begun. Good luck. And remember, KoD Must Die!
You are a Knight of Dominaria. One of several elite warriors appointed by the King himself to defend the realm. Of course, you're a Knight in title only, not so much in deeds. You're a lazy bastard, happy to throw your Knightly weight around where it suits you, and shirk your duties where it doesn't. Thus, it is no wonder that you've wound up among a group of peasants being marched to the slaughter—the King must seek to make an example of you for your misdeeds.
You are Town-Aligned, and you win if you are still alive when the game ends.
In his latest attempt to cure his neverending boredom, the ruthless King of Dominaria has rounded up a group of peasants to force them to play a lethal game of survivor. Somehow, you've been rounded up with them. Each Day, you have no choice but to participate in this rampant barbarism of killing or being killed, lest the King decide that watching your head roll would be more entertaining than continuing this charade. You'll have to lay low and play smart if you're going to survive this nightmare.
As a Knight of Dominaria, you wield a certain amount of prestige. You can use the weight of your title to help protect you from being Lynched. Whenever another player votes for you, you get a bonus vote which is automatically and passively applied against them. This bonus vote is in addition to your regular vote, but it disappears if the player who triggered it unvotes you. You can have up to three of these bonus votes active at a time; if ever more than three players are voting for you, you can choose who to orient these bonus votes against by PMing the GameMod (by default, they apply to the three most recent votes against you).
Each Night, you may target a player other than yourself to place them under your watch. While you are watching a player, you will learn who has targeted them with an ability that Night, if anyone, but not what ability was used.
As a Knight, you may post in the game thread only during the Day.
Each Day, you get to vote as part of the Lynch decision-making process.
The game has begun. Good luck. Long live the King of Dominaria!
You are the King's Bishop. It is your job to use magic to defend the Crown and the citizens under its rule. You're not very good at your job. The King's a dick and it would please you to no end to see him pass on, but the dude is also nigh immortal so that probably won't happen in your lifetime. Best to keep your opinions to yourself.
You are Town-Aligned, and you win if you are still alive when the game ends.
In his latest attempt to cure his neverending boredom, the ruthless King of Dominaria has rounded up a group of peasants to force them to play a lethal game of survivor. Somehow, the King must have forgotten that you're his Bishop (or just doesn't care) because you've been rounded up with them. Each Day, you have no choice but to participate in this rampant barbarism of killing or being killed, lest the King decide that watching your head roll would be more entertaining than continuing this charade. You'll have to lay low and play smart if you're going to survive this nightmare.
As the Bishop, you have healing magic at your disposal. Each Night, you may target a player other than yourself to save them from an untimely demise. However, your curative spells are somewhat disorienting and leave the target unable to do much of anything else for a time. The healed player is both Roleblocked and Voteblocked until the end of the following Day while they recover.
As Bishop, you may post in the game thread only during the Day.
Each Day, you get to vote as part of the Lynch decision-making process.
The game has begun. Good luck. Long live the King of Dominaria!
You are the Executioner of Dominaria. You have the dirtiest of jobs. When a citizen of Dominaria is to be executed, it is your job to do the executing. You wear a big black hood and carry a bigger axe. A productive shift for you means many heads will roll.
You are Town-Aligned, and you win if you are still alive when the game ends.
In his latest attempt to cure his neverending boredom, the ruthless King of Dominaria has rounded up a group of peasants to force them to play a lethal game of survivor, and it's your job to facilitate the slaughter. Not only does the King expect you to participate in this "game", but it's also your job to carry out the Lynching! Each Day, you have no choice but to participate in this rampant barbarism of killing or being killed, lest the King decide that watching your head roll would be more entertaining than continuing this charade. You'll have to lay low and play smart if you're going to survive this nightmare.
As the Executioner of Dominaria, killing people is all you know, but also, you generally only kill who you're told. You've never thought about not following orders until now, but maybe, just maybe, a little rebellion is called for. That said, nobody will trust an Executioner gone rogue, so use your abilities with caution as they both have drawbacks!
Once during the game, at the end of a Day, you can stay your hand and spare another player's life from a Lynch regardless of the votes against them—even if it's an Execution decreed by the King in place of a Lynch. When you do, the King will undoubtedly lose faith in your ability and have you replaced as the Executioner, swapping your role with the role of a player of the King's choice.
Each Night, you may target a player other than yourself to kill them. However, your methods are messy and easily traceable—it will be very obvious during the death post that you were the killer.
As the Executioner, you may post in the game thread only during the Day.
Each Day, you get to vote as part of the Lynch decision-making process.
The game has begun. Good luck. Long live the King of Dominaria!
You are the Royal Inquisitor of Dominaria. When the King needs a problem solved with brute force, he sends in the Knights. When he needs a matter investigated discreetly, he calls for you.
You are Town-Aligned, and you win if you are still alive when the game ends.
In his latest attempt to cure his neverending boredom, the ruthless King of Dominaria has rounded up a group of peasants to force them to play a lethal game of survivor. There must have been some mistake because somehow, you've been rounded up with them! Each Day, you have no choice but to participate in this rampant barbarism of killing or being killed, lest the King decide that watching your head roll would be more entertaining than continuing this charade. Still, there was something fishy about the way the King informed you that you would be taking part in this game. Your keen inquisitor mind tells you something deeper is afoot! But until you find out just what that something is, you'll have to lay low and play smart if you're going to survive this "game" of his.
As Royal Inquisitor, your deductive reasoning skills are unrivaled. Each Night, you may target a player other than yourself to investigate them. At the end of the night, you learn not only what abilities that player used, if any, but also who they used the ability on, if anyone.
The Royal Inquisitor may post in the game thread only during the Day.
Each Day, you get to vote as part of the Lynch decision-making process.
The game has begun. Good luck. Long live the King of Dominaria!
You are a Baker in the land of Dominaria. You make pastries that everybody likes, so most everybody likes you. It's an honest living. Or, it was. Now, it might be all over...
You are Town-Aligned, and you win if you are still alive when the game ends.
In his latest attempt to cure his neverending boredom, the ruthless King of Dominaria has rounded up a group of peasants to force them to play a lethal game of survivor, and you're among them! Each Day, you have no choice but to participate in this rampant barbarism of killing or being killed, lest the King decide that watching your head roll would be more entertaining than continuing this charade. You'll have to lay low and play smart if you're going to survive this nightmare.
As the town Baker, you don't have a lot going for you. Each Day, you get to vote as part of the Lynch decision-making process, and that's about it! Oh, but because you've bribed everyone with delicious pastries, people generally like you and so your word carries extra weight with them. On the first Day, Votes you make count for double, and votes made against you count for half. After the first Day, the placebo wears off.
The Baker may post in the game thread only during the Day.

You are a simple Farmer in the land of Dominaria. You've worked hard all your life to provide for yourself and your family. Now, it might be all over...

You are a Merchant in the land of Dominaria. You know how to work a deal to make the most profit out of any transaction, but somehow those skills go out the window when death is on the line...

You are a humble Blacksmith in the land of Dominaria. The irony does not escape you—you forged the very axe that may soon be swung down at your neck!

The only reason KoD died is because the rebels recruited Naga, and the Queen targeted Naga with her shieldbreaker ability. Quite fortunate for everyone who won. The Queen's shieldbreaker ability needed to target a rebel-aligned killer the same Night that they tried to kill KoD.
Also, unfortunate, Hello World *tried* to protect KoD—which would have prolonged the game—but only informed me through discord, which I didn't see until after I ended the game here. Should be a lesson, though, cuz technically speaking, you should all submit action/game choices through NGA. That's the only way to *guarantee* I will see your action before posting on NGA, since I have to be on NGA to post on NGA. Durh.
I'd like to extend my sincerest apologies to ExLight. I didn't actually have a posting restriction, but since I used the claim of it as a dog whistle to KoD (thinking he might need to identify me in order to recruit me, and that my wincon might change if recruited) I couldn't really go back on it without, likely, facing a lynch and a loss.
