I am curious what decks (Bo1, Bo3) you guys will pick for this event.

The stats would say to play RDW in Bo1 and Jeskai Lukka in Bo3.

Image

Day 1 will be Best-of-One Standard Constructed matches. You will play until seven wins or three losses (whichever comes first), with seven wins earning you qualification for Day 2. You'll be able to enter Day 1 multiple times, which means you'll have more than one opportunity to qualify for Day 2.
Start Time: May 30, 2020 (8:00 AM PT)
End Time: May 31, 2020 (7:00 AM PT)

Day 2 will consist of Best-of-Three Standard Constructed matches. Again, you'll play until seven wins or two losses (whichever comes first), but unlike Day 1, you'll only have one opportunity to compete. Once you complete your Day 2 matches—that's it! You'll receive rewards based on your event record, culminating with $2,000 USD if you manage to earn seven wins.

Start Time: May 31, 2020 (8:00 AM PT)
Entry Closes: May 31, 2020 (10:00 AM PT)
End Time: (time not confirmed)

I've been working on Jeskai Winota for Bo3 and I'll probably do day 1 with Obosh RDW.

Don't plan on playing it, but i imagine the safe choice would be Jeskai Lukka in both BO1 and BO3 if you're comfortable with the deck, confidant about how to play your matchups ect but if you just want to roll the dice and play a no brain deck in BO1 Neoform Winota is capable of beating any deck with 0 effort whatsover on turn 3-4 if you draw reasonably well

Probably not the best in BO3 when they can bring in Cage/Counters/Removal but in BO1 it doesn't take 150 IQ to go:

Grazer -> Legion Warboss -> Winota -> Next match

I tested Jeskai Yorion Lukka in Bo1.
Very strong against most decks, but RDW eats it alive.

I'm not sure yet whether I'll play and what I'll play.
Haven't really been playing BO1 a lot, so that might be my Achilles heel.

If I play (and I'm not keen because I know how stressful competition can be with money on the line), I'll probably play Temur Reclamation, because I enjoy the deck and it's very customizable.

I've went back to Zvi's mono green deck. I swapped a forest for a Bonder's Enclave (it actually saved me and won me the game once), and I swapped a Titanic Growth and 2 QBeasts for 3 Ram Through. You can use Ram through to double the damage a Giant or Titanic would provide you.

Now that there is a little but of removal/interaction and a mana outlet/draw engine in the deck, I feel better about it.

I tweeked it a little bit more. I added the Titanic Growth back in, removed some Gingerbrutes. I've had a 7-2 2-3 and 7-1 run with it in Standard Event so I think that's what I'm going Day 1 with.

20 x Forest
1 x Bonders' Enclave

Creatures
4 x Stonecoil Serpent
4 x Pelt Collector
2 x Gingerbrute
4 x Barkhide Troll
4 x Syr Faren, the Hengehammer
4 x Lovestruck Beast
4 x Gemrazer
2 x Questing Beast

Instants
3 x Ram Through
4 x Giant Growth
4 x Titanic Growth

Sideboard
2 x Vivien, Arkbow Ranger
4 x Soul-Guide Lantern
3 x Kraul Harpooner
1 x Ram Through
2 x Thrash // Threat
3 x Shifting Ceratops

Decided to give it one shot with Gruul Umori yesterday. Went 4-3, with two of the losses being on the fraw against perfect 7-card hands of Jeskai Lukka players and one loss being against mono-W lifegain which I did not have on the radar at all.
My wins were: 2 wins vs. mono-R Obosh (the match-up I was mainly targeting), 1 win vs. Jeskai Lukka (which I thought I'd have a better match-up against, but Teferi wanted a word with my plans) and 1 win vs. some weird Abzan pile.

Anything other then midrange, you either want to be a fast aggro deck, something like goblins, vampires or RDW, or a combo deck like Kethis/Reclamation

Not sure i'd play a pure field deck, they tend to pray on control and midrange and i don't think we'll see much of that in BO1

I think maybe mono U with Cerulean drake in the main could be a good meta call, it gives you a blocker for Muxus and a counter for Exp.
