Yeah I was wondering why apparently the entire M:EM received that message. Or at least I assume everyone did, since it sent to the M:EM group.

Would you mind sending me a screenshot of the sent message, tony?

Bu- He sent it to you, too. Unless you never received it? The address line said "GobO_Admin, M:EMbers".

Instead of clicking "Find a member" and then "Add To" you simply clicked "Add BCC" and blind courtesy copied the whole M:eMbers group. Since you blind CC'd them, they dont show up in the "To" field but rather under BCC. Thats the difference in the 'Add [BCC]' and 'Add [To]' Its also not the first time you've mistakenly PMed the whole group.

No bug here, system is working exactly as intended ... it just wasnt intending for drunk clickers.

Well, that shouldn't be happening.

Is this when quoting from the main topic page, or when you're in the post editor and click on the 'quote' button in the topic review area?

When Hairless removed the nested quote (the quote in your post) they apparently also removed the closing tag for the URL that links to your post. Your name in the quote box is a link to the post quoted.

So while Hairless should have had this:
Code:
[quote="[url=http://www.nogoblinsallowed.com/viewtopic.php?p=55748#p55748]Lord LunaEquie is me[/url]"]
It's still 10x better than the mothership because this place has a "read where you left off" button. [/quote]

They had this:
Code:
[quote="[url=http://www.nogoblinsallowed.com/viewtopic.php?p=55748#p55748]]
It's still 10x better than the mothership because this place has a "read where you left off" button.[/quote]

Notice the lack your name and a URL close tag (Lord LunaEquie is me[/url]")

I'm working to try and recreate the boards removing this bit of text, but I'm not seeing it anywhere. Also, not that quoting a post thats jumbled will only cause your new post to become jumbled as with the above post by Luna (before Welder) [code] tags help a lot.

Apologies for that. I haven't had reason to use the [code] tag yet, so I didn't think to do so here.

But as for the bug: I will try to keep an eye on it, but I know when I caught mine, I clicked the quote button from the thread page (not quoting from the full post editor), and then built my post from there. After I posted I saw the broken quote and went to edit; from the editor I quoted the same post and it quoted correctly.

I will keep an eye out if it pops up again, but I don't know if it may be tied to the size of the thread -- we used to have issues on the mothership whenever a thread got 300+ pages long (at 10 posts per page).

I would be very, very surprised if the issue is thread length, but do please let us know if this happens again. I'm particularly interested in exactly was in the post editor box when the page loaded after you clicked the 'Quote' button.

Thanks!

I have heard of various sites encountering issues and chalking them up to thread length. Whatever WotC's software was before vB most definitely had the issue. I don't think I've ever seen any phpbb sites actually have the issue - though many restart threads anyway, so... *shrug*

All auto cards with apostrophes are now broken.

Oops. Looking into it.

[edit] Should be fixed now. It turns out that php's html_decode_entity function handles double quotes but not single quotes, unless you specifically tell it to do so. :teach:

Decklists are broken for some reason.

And maybe its me, but suddenly embedded youtube videos worked fine a few hours ago, but suddenly nothing shows up. ((Doesnt work on my Chrome, works fine on my FireFox))

Yes, decklists are definitely broken — I forgot to fix how they worked when I updated autocards.

Youtube seems to be working fine for me.

All right, decklists should be working again. Sorry about that! :)

I have that problem with spoilers; I just assumed it was because I'm forced to use IE8 at work, and IE8 is a steaming pile of crap. Covered in flies.

Hm, yes. Our spoiler implementation uses .nextElementSibling, which isn't supported until Internet Explorer 9.

OK, I've set up a workaround that should let spoilers work on older versions of IE.

Let me know how it works for you, and if it seems to have broken anything. :)

Just confirming that I can, in fact, now open spoilers while on IE8!

:hattip:
