Since there was no specific topic on THB sealed I decided to start this one. My first attempt ended in a complete train wreck going 1-3. Due to the low amount of removal in my pool I tried to go with Azorius Flyers/Enchantments.


In my second attempt I managed to go 6-3. Losses were two times due to The Akroan War taking my biggest creature and once by Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger



Top performers were Iroas's Blessing, Phoenix of Ash and Skophos Maze-Warden together with Labyrinth of Skophos.

I got to 6 wins with a UW deck. First impression is that getting lots of creatures with constellation and dropping lots of auras/enchantments seems good, as alot of constellation effects are quite good.

Managed to get seven Sealeds in this time for a total loss of 3000 gems. First three runs were pretty bonkers:
Each a flavor of UW, I found the evasion, interaction, and bombs I opened to perform quite well. Riptide Turtle and the wall from The Birth of Meletis were great at stalling for the more controlling builds of 1 and 3. Karametra's Blessing and Starlit Mantle were nice for protecting important fliers (particularly Mantle with Shimmerwing Chimera in 2). My lower end of commons and uncommons was a bit thin in 3, but as long as you do anything whatsoever in the early turns the combo of Trawler + Ashiok will close games out in the end.

Next four all ended 3-3:
Not enough evasion, black removal, or bombs. Enemy of Enlightenment severely underwhelmed. Couple solid strategies that didn't quite agree with each other. Not enough top end to support the early or (aura based) midgame. Reasonable deck with no real bombs. Had some expected mana issues as a three color deck. Solid pool, but plenty of double pips lead to some inconsistency. Lyre played really well and Kraken got removed consistently.

Funny I was also drawn to UW. Currently trying to pilot a similar build in Standard ranked, but white has no like resources to deal with planeswalkers...rip.

In other news, starting to feel like they printed another Oko with the Nightmare Nurse.
