When ~ becomes the target of a spell or ability, sacrifice it.

Did they really need the anti-donate clause?

Might be more of an anti-flicker clause?

i would guess they were more worried about flickering or recursion.

i read that as exile and not sacrifice

i don't actually know what happens if you target it with regrowth but i'm guessing it works.

the clause probably doesn't affect most of the abuse cases that would exist so its kind of weird.

it makes it more complicated.

One I can think of would be this, Reclamation Sage, Auramancer, and Eternal Witness; without the anti-abuse clause, it would only require this and Flickerwisp, which also means less mana and more potential for loops.
