This isn't exactly a bug, but this account should have basic thread editing and moving powers within the Expanded Multiverse board, so that we can shuffle threads around and clean them up as needed. Figured I might as well mention that here rather than starting a separate thread.

Thanks!

So I've given the M:EM Archivist account the necessary rights, but it is erroneously appearing as the moderator of the boards to which it has access. I'll try to fix this tomorrow, but I'm exhausted now.

A way around that might be to create a group, give the group the rights you want, then put the archivist account into that group. I'll look if I get some time, but I have a super-busy day today (playing in a soccer game at 10:30, pictures with my kids' soccer team at 1:20, coaching my kids' soccer team at 2, Pathfinder - and food and drink! - from 3:30 until whenever everybody leaves). Odds are you'll get to it before me...

I have no idea if this has been mentioned, but when I click on Magic: The Gathering, I get a list of the forums for it. But when I click on Play-by-Post Games I get a list of all threads contained in those collective forums. Not sure if this is a bug or maybe my browser just sucks... (using Chrome)

Hmmm, interesting. I'll take a look at the settings on the two categories later (heading out to my kids' soccer game shortly).

This should be fixed now. Thanks for pointing it out.

*facepalm* I forgot to mention that No Goblins Allowed Community and Dungeon & Dragons act the same way for me. Sorry Fire... but the Play-by-Post Games looks fixed for me, so hopefully you'll know what to do now. ^_^

Thanks. It's easy enough to fix. I was in a rush earlier, but was planning to check them all. I'll get 'em now...

edit: this should be done. Other Games also had that setting, so I removed it there too.

any way to fix this?

I'll mess around with the PM functionality to try to improve this.

Follow up: There is not an option for this built into the forum. It seems that the boards' PM system is intended to work in the way you described.

Can we please fix this?

Or at least expand folder limits for storeage and/or messages per folder limits?

I don't think there's anything to fix - we'd actually be breaking the software in order to implement it.

The current settings allow for 4 folders (and I believe that's the number of folders you can create - so it doesn't count inbox, sent, etc). And you're allowed 200 messages per folder.

What would you want them set to? (note: that doesn't mean I'll say yet to what you ask - as it is, you can essentially store 800 messages on the system.)

Is there an easier way to bold, italicize or underline etc. other than typing it, or highlighting and clicking?

When you mix and match, things can get difficult with more intricate posts.
This is an example of a potentially horrible sentence. (Typing wise)

Post numbers would be awesome for reference and all that.
Please and thank you!

To the best of my knowledge, you've listed the only two ways to handle it. Well, sort of. You can also click the buttons (for example the B for bold) before typing any text, and it will give you a set of empty tags. But that's not too much different from typing, highlighting and clicking.

Elaborate what you mean, please?

Like Fire said, not really.

However, if you've a better way in mind, let us know, and we'll see what we can do. :D

5 folders at 5000 each.

I normally click the tags first then type into them.

Its way easier to
1. Click "Bold"
2. Click "Underline"
3. Type 'Attack'
4. Click outside the brackets and go back to typing.

than.

1. Type 'attack'
2. Select 'attack' but not get the spaces before or after.
3. Click "bold"
4. Click "underline
5. Go back to typing.

I type the tags as I go. *shrug*

Tony - no shot at those numbers. Sorry. ;) Well, OK. I'm willing to listen to a case to be made for 5 folders. It's the 5K that you're not gettin'.

I type as I go on my phone. But click the tags beforehand on the computer.
