Doesn't seem that strong but recursion on planeswalkers in interesting.

Interesting, gives me a kind of Sarkhan the Mad vibe.

Sad she's back as a PW.

I'm more sad she's back with such bad art. Did she become a statue? Is this a memorial statue? Either way just show me the woman herself. I still say that among all the other reasons it was a bad idea, the fact that the Mythic Edition got Elspeth with the badass art that actually fits her in the underworld instead of this is a damn shame.

I'm curious about the art as well. hopefully it will make more sense in context.

Like it APPEARS to be a relief and statue. Considering the chief god is against Elspeth this was almost certainly carved either by Ajani or by the people he proselytized to. So as an art piece in context it is great at showing the impact Ajani and Elspeth had on Theros despite the gods. Except when I look at a Planeswalker card I wanna see the darn Planeswalker and this would be better for some sort of Artifact about rememberance or something.

Im hoping jts simply promo art or alt art. Like maybe a lot of legends will have statues?

It's the full alternate art version. I'm going to guess that the art is supposed to evoke the Hero cards from the Hero's Path promotion.

This is an alternate art, walkers get a different art on the full alt card, or at least they did in eldraine.

What the hell happened to Godsend? o.o

Snapped in half and partially turned into a returned mask

I meant the part after that where it got turned into a crazy-looking spear covered in (and I'm assuming this is just a coincidence) suspicious black oil.

And before anyone says that this clearly isn't Godsend, remember that it once was a sword, and then became a spear, and then a mask, and those two glowing dots are still here in this new weapon.

I guess it's time for Elspeth to put a nice big "Return to sender" stamp for the god that sent Godsend

Thinking of the oil on it I can't help but get Phyrexian vibes...

It could Ashiok smoke but we have never seen Ashiok drip. Maybe it has to do with the river of the dead.
