7-2 with what I think is the second best deck in the metas, Sultai w/ U only for Oko and Hydroid. One loss vs the best deck (Golos Ramp) and the last loss was vs BR aggro. I just beat one easily in R6, but I had a questionable hand on the draw that I probably should have mulliganed. I also made a mistake that may have given me more time.

All the games were pretty smooth except the two losses. I think Golos ramp has just enough power to keep top spot. It just always seems one step ahead and/or recovers so well.

Good luck everyone

Got to 11-2 with Rakdos aggro, lost to jeskai planeswalkers and bant ramp, pretty gutted i couldn't have squeaked out one more for every card in standard but i would've snapped off 11-2 before this whole thing began!

I went 3-2 playing Bant Golos. Lost one game because I didn't realize Yorvo is a giant (aka. immune to Realm-Cloaked Giant) until it was too late, and lost the other to Grixis Fires who had a good draw. Not complaining though, at some level I was eager to lose quickly so I can go do something else ;)

PS: The deck is busted.

First game played Golos using Mengu's list on CF and got completely run over by Rakdos. In an act of desperation decided to go for Azorius skies, muliganing aggressively down to 5 if needed for an explosive start. Only made to 4-2, again losing to Rakdos.

3-2

Game 1 - Won - Golos Field
Game 2 - Lost - Golos Field
Game 3 - Won - Golos Field
Game 4 - Won - Mono-blue Mill
Game 5 - Lost - Simic Flash

Even after adding the 23rd land, the only game I didn't mulligan on was Game 3. I was also only able to go first during Game 1. Unfortunately, after Blood Crypt, the only dual left is tap lands. I think I'm going to have to play 3 Bloodfell Caves

I won a Stonecoil Serpent and my 3rd Bonecrusher Giant

Nice run, congrats!

The way I look at it, if this were a PTQ, at 11 wins that means you would have won it if there were 385 players or less. 8-1 should get you to top 8, and 3-0 wins it (Assuming formats haven't changed. I guess depending when your loss was, you could miss top 8, but generally 1 loss gets you in) 12 wins would be a perfect tournament.

Quite an accomplishment.

Thanks man I'll be honest though, this format (BO1, 2 losses and you're out) was basically just a diceroll, i played 13 matches and i think i had to make about 5 meaningful decisions haha

Did have a quite interesting "what's the play" come up on game 13 that i'm not sure i handed right, i'd be interested in seeing what you guys think:

Situation (my turn)

Me on 12 life with 6 mana
cards in hand - Knight of the ebon legion, Robber of the rich
Only perminant on the board is an Embercleave

Opponent 5 life, enough mana for anything, playing Bant ramp
4 cards in hand (all unknown)
Nissa, who shakes the world with 3 animated lands, arbour grazer

What's the play?

Spoiler

hmm didn't consider that... worst case scenario they just chump with arbour grazer and you're dead on the crackback even without the second nissa, but realistically they throw everything in front to play around shock which would buy you a lot more time

You get to see one more card on Robber trigger... kill Gazer and maybe they are forced to chump with a Land + Gazer coz Shock or Giant fear...
EDIT: have you tested the Red Dwarf with adventure on Rakdos?

I don't see much chance anyways so I think the only way to go is to go for broke. I too would have swung with the Robber/Ember and then played the Knight to chump next turn. Maybe they misblock and don't present 12 damage next turn, in which case you don't need to chump block and can equip ember to Knight next turn. It's a long shot but it's proactive instead of reactive
