Aaarrgh has stated that the effect would be of great power to either the town or the mafia. The fact that you're pushing hard to give it to yourself seems kindof suspicious to me, since it could easily be mafia pushing to get the power for themselves. I may be agreeable to trying the dating, but definitely not on someone who is so eager. I also don't see why we should rush to make a decision, since we don't know what the ability is and if it even has a benefit of it being around longer (may be something like additional information, that wouldn't be time sensitive?)

I have told a few lies in some games maybe

Okay, for example, I did lie this one time

I misread my role PM and thought my role name was a fake claim. Was busted by a cop as scum in some anime game d1.

I decided to instead claim I was Yoshi, a self aligned survivor who traveled to anime land via a green pipe. This was not believed. I then claimed to be a serial killer who promised to work with the town to provide reads and kills as long as we lynched Rag d1. The town including the cop was persuaded to lynch Rag, I used the one shot mafia recruiter ability I had overnight, was vigged and we ultimately won.

But like, I don't do that often or anything.

What I'm hearing is if we lynch you both we are guaranteed to nail at least one non town.

Also I'm clearly the best candidate for Skelly.

I'm mostly just big. That's basically all there is to my character in terms of backstory or motive, probably. Mechanically the only things that are beneficial to note D1 are that my votes are big and that you'll all be seeing me tonight.

It really doesn't matter to me much if I marry Skelly, I just want to try dating them because it seems interesting.

In the OP it says the deadline for the date is 24 hours earlier than today's day end deadline, which means there are 24 hours between the two events. I feel like we'd benefit from trying to hammer the date before then so we can use information from it during the lynch.

I want to do it earlier because the deadline for it is 24 hours earlier than the deadline for end of day. I'd like to hammer the dating vote sooner (if that's a thing) so we can see the result earlier in the day.

It doesn't have to be me, I just think I'm less likely to suffer from any consequences if the date turns out to be a bad thing and I know I'm town aligned if it turns out to be a good thing. If we choose someone else, so be it, but I'm interested in seeing how it goes.
