What do you guys think will be the best deck(s) for this event?

I tried Rakdos and Golgari... Went 8 or 9 wins...
I think that Golgari Henge is an absolute beast same as Rakdos.
If you get 3 or more loses early you should really try decks and see if they are good WCs invesments or not... Coz you will get to play the 12 games.

What Rakdos list did you play?

I've tried Oko tokens in the previous event, felt janky. Will probably try Golgari Henge in the event because it looks to be the most fun.

My stats in the play any deck event:

Rakdos Aggro: 3-3 (I will probably cut Fervent Champion and add more black mana, Murderous Rider and Spawn of Mayhem were tough to cast sometimes)
Orzhov Knights: 1-5 (dogsh*t)

My mate swears that this is the best deck for the event.

There's a B01 meta also... That should help.
According to that Golos ramp has over 60% win rate in over 800 matches.

I think I'll probably play either Golos ramp (because it looks like the best deck), or monored (because it's fast and I'm not in the mood to think too much when I play Magic).

How did I miss this thread when I opened mine?

I am basically set on which deck to play; maybe will be making 1-2 small adjustments.
Will probably post the decklist and how else my run went here once I finished.

EDIT: Well, that wet a lot faster than I hoped for. Unfortunately game 1 ended in a DC for me (stupid craptop) and game 4 I started misplaying horribly during the midgame after having fought myself onto equal ground on the draw and a mull to 6. Games 2 and 3 were very smooth sailing due to my opponents missing out on basically anything.

My deck was Bant Golos with a couple tweaks:
First, I included a 1-of Agent of Treachery for not only the mirror (stealing Field of the Dead is fun), but also Fires of Invention (steal the opposing Fires). T3feri being able to bounce it is a very nice bonus.
Second, I added 3 Fae of Wishes to get me my sideboard cards. The card has nice synergy with T3feri (again) due to the potential instant-speed tutor, and gives you access to cards you cannot cram into your maindeck. Also, being a 1/4 blocker is relevant.

I see, thanks. Went for it anyway now and got to 6-2 with Simic Ramp. 1-1 vs Golos Field and a stupid loss to mono red due to mana flood. Started out with 5 consecutive games on the draw.. that's really stupid in bo1.

I ran into a Golos Field deck like Modulo's above. Luckily I was able to draw a removal for the Fae of the Wishes, he had it and a Grazer able to block my Rankle and Spawn but he was only at 4 life after the Spawn and Stormfist triggers. He had just made a ton of zombies the turn before. Stormfist Crusader actually allowed me to draw two removals but I only needed one. 1-0 so far. going to have to finish this up tonight, and on into tomorrow morning if I win a bunch tonight


I am now 2-1 against nothing but Golos. Rankle is the baddest little faerie on the block
