What if I really don't like Teferi? :/

Really excited for the rest of these announcements, though.

You can be wrong. It's okay.

Also, something to look forward to:

Wait, does this mean that the main set of Eldraine only has 2 planeswalker cards?

Eldraine has three planeswalker cards: Garruk, Oko and the Kenrith Twins (together on one card).

After the current standard, anyone who does like Teferi is the wrong ones. Otherwise I am very interested.

It's really hard to get excited for Theros since they're probably thing to mangle the severity of death there.
And who cares about Zendikar now?

I actually think this Zendikar may be exciting exactly because they got rid of the Eldrazi so we can go back to a nice semi-DND feeling adventure world instead

If it weren't for who the principle players would be, I'd be more likely to agree.
But I don't think I can take much more Nissa, Nahiri is one step away from trying to make Zendikar the way she wants it, and.... well, okay, I really DO like Kiora.

Zendikar again, blegh.

Theros was king of expected.

Like the sound of making monsters. Wonder if they're pillaging the augment creatures from unstable or the stitch mechanic from poor old Hecatomb.

Based off of Oko, The Rowan Twins, and Garruk being enemy color planeswalkers and Tournament Grounds providing R, W, or B for Knights or equipment, I believe the second set of this block (if there is one) will have the equivalent of a King Arthur planeswalker for RW and possibly either a WB Mordred planeswalker for the knight theme or a WB version of Liliana Vess as Morrigan Le Fay since Garruk is back and we can get some kind of closure to his story.

Apologies if this is incoherent; been having trouble sleeping soundly and I finally woke back up with this thought in mind.

The set after Throne of Eldraine is confirmed to be Theros: Beyond Death. We'll be hopping around different planes for at least the next year, which we can do now that blocks are officially gone. (The year of Ravnica was an anomaly.)

Ah; I was unaware that they changed the block/set structure yet again. I wonder if plots and mechanics will actually get a chance to shine then.

So numberwise, white gets another rare adventure, there is a blue or black mythic adventure and another rare or mythic rare adventure that is either blue or black, then one more adventure that has to be red that is either rare or mythic.

This is based on the full art set numbers and the assumptions that each color gets 8 rares and 2 mythics and that the green legend name starts with y like in the novel.(there are 185 monocolored cards and since it is divisible by 5 having an equal number of high rarity cards doesn't feel farfetched).

Note that these might be another kind of card that gets full art treatment but is not an adventure.

Hey, is it just me or is Throne of Eldraine MTG's version of Game of Thrones?

Could we review what the draft archetypes are for Throne?
I know it's WU-enchantments/artifacts, UB-stuff in the yard, and I believe BG-food. And there are single-color draft archetypes too this time, because of adamant?

So

Will MTG's set release schedule be broken by Corona-chan?
