How would Arcane Signet work in traditional 1v1 play?

Chulane does not look impressive as a 5-mana no-ETB card that isn't even that hard to remove (or is Lava Coil rotating?). Beast Whisperer is already in Standard, and it sees no play.

I guess it's a card for the brawl decks they announced, if it's standard playable it will probably do nothing.

Correct, it is a standard legal card that you can tap for no effect in standard.

One of the things that I liked about brawl over EDH was that you could buy the same cards for both brawl and standard decks. Now they have been segregated into different products even though they are technically the same list of legal cards.

Chulane +risen reef is a whole lot of value, even if chulane isn't an elemental.

Planeswalker deck cards:

Image
[+1]: Up to one target creature gains +3/+0 and first strike until end of turn.
[-2]: Rowan deals 1 damage up to two target creatures. Those creatures cannot block this turn.
[-9]: Gain control of all creatures until end of turn, untap them and they gain haste.

Image
When Rowan's Valiant enters the battlefield, search your library and graveyard for Rowan, Intrepid Sparkmage, reveal it and add it to your hand. If you searched your library this way, shuffle your library.

Image
First strike
As long as you control a Rowan planeswalker, this creature gains +3/+0.

What happens if you choose the first two when you are hellbent, does the card you draw end up immediately in the graveyard?

You resolve modes in the order they are written. Discard happens 1st, then draw

Thanks.

How do adventures work?

Of all the cards written the most impressive appears to be the new Garruk. 6 mana make two 2/2s that add loyalty when they die, plus an ultimate that's within reach just one turn after casting, plus the minus ability impacts the board immediately while generating card advantage. Sure the emblem isn't a game-winning ability, but it's still an emblem with substantial effects. Garruk makes Vraska, Relic Seeker seem tame, and that card was already playable.

While in your hand you can cast the adventure (instant or sorcery) when it resolves it goes into exile, then you can cast it as a creature from exile. If you don't want to do that you can just cast them as a creature from your hand as normal.

When cast as an instant or sorcery it is that while it is on the stack, in all other situations it is just a creature card.

I wonder if a wolf tribal deck could appear that’s more than just memey? Go Tolsimir, Friend to Wolves into Garruk, you could fight with his tokens and potentially ultimate next turn with a loyalty to spare. Factor in flash wolf and you already have a core to something memey at least.
