I'll let it slide this time, though, since that was kind of buried in my 4-part OP in the main thread and this is the first time it's come up. But going forward, the idea is that no-one should be able to set two criteria in a row, or reverse-engineer a criterion for a card they want to design, in order to allow as many people participate as possible.

Calling this here for Knight Otu! At Flopfoot's suggestion, though, it will be changed to target. No reason I can see that it shouldn't, so I'll assume it was just an oversight.

Please set a criterion for a White card. It can be Common, Uncommon, or Mythic, so just don't make it Rare!

Criterion: White is part of the Engrave/Artifact good-stuff archetype. While it gets a number artifacts matter cards, its one engrave spell was cut (though maybe not for good). Create a white uncommon instant with engrave.

A reminder: Engrave reads:

Engrave (, Exile this card from your hand: Put a 2/2 Golem artifact creature token onto the battlefield. When it dies, you may cast this card without paying its mana cost. Engrave only as a sorcery.)

Glyph of the Guardian was cut only in light of the fact that the mechanic was alone in its color, with an activation cost that wasn't splashable. In light of this, it shall be changed to:
Glyph of Retribution


That way, the card we design here can give it company.

I am having some trouble costing Engrave. I wanted it to be 2W for this card, but looking at other engrave cards it seemed like it should be more. Is making the 2/2 golem considered to be a bonus? In this instance, I think I would want the life gain and token creation asap. Putting out the golem would only be if I wasn't desperate.

White uncommon instant with engrave.
A board wipe engrave would be neat, but it wouldn't be uncommon. Maybe single target destroy effect, or the uncommon white edict (which would be neat in combat with engrave).
The other obvious options are a token maker that you can stretch out a little further by engraving, and something that scales so you can cash it out later in the game by getting your golem killed long after you pay for the spell.

Sheer Drop is my best price comparison. It's never actually been done at instant in white. Kind of worried it's considered a pie break. Engraving makes it harder to time well so that's why it's easier to cast engraved.
