Wonder how all those 3-colored cards are supposed to work when the checklands rotate. Maybe back during the Theros days tapped lands were the norm, but from my short term experience they really suck.

Tap duals suck. Maybe they wanna slow the tempo of standard

Temples are the best you'll get for tapped duals, and it did happen that decks played half-off-colour temples just for the scry.
They're no shocklands, but don't underestimate them.

Yeah, if you were around for Theros, that was probably a faster format than where we are now, and they were everywhere.

Shock lands are the best duals besides fetchlands, but the scry lands are about as good as checklands

This looks like a nifty limited bear. Like an Ironshell Beetle who’s +1/+1 counter sticks around and is endlessly transferable. Cool design.

Depends on the format of course, but while I think the card is good, it will go around 4th-6th pick. Good curve filler with late-game application, but can struggle to make much of an impact.

This estimate might be fueled by the fact that Wizards decided to reprint the best Uncommon out of 2 fairly recent sets (EMN and M19) at COMMON. Granted we had Ob Nixilis' Cruelty last set, but still; Murder has to be one of, if not the best non-rares in the set.

Interested to see whether they reprint all of the gainlands at common or just the allied colour cycle (AFAIK only enemy colour temples get a reprint). Either war, having both these and Evolving Wilds at common probably means good fixing.

I think they announced that wilds and the gainlands will work exactly like the taplands did in m19

I think cycling duals better. They also "swamp forest" etc.

In a pretty fast format with so many affordable flyers in white, it's definitely worth well more than the 4-6 pick. I'd first-pick it over alot of the rares in this set.

This set looks better than any other core set I've seen. I had sworn off drafting any more core sets after Origins but I might have to take that back now.
