ummm...hi all. It's been a really, really long time. How have you been?

I know Keeper doesn't really post around here anymore, but I remember when the official forums shut down, zie(is that right?) archived a bunch of it. Does anyone know where to find those?

Sup loreweaver?
The expanded multiverse should have the archive backed up in a google drive.

If one good thing came from the new novel, it frustrated me enough to have me engage with the community again. Would all the old threads like ask brady, author interviews, etc. also be there?

The Ask Brady thread is archived here:

viewtopic.php?f=31&t=13330&p=409021#p409021

Keeper also compiled a pdf. file with the Scott McGough Q&A back in the day. I couldn't find that in the archives, but luckily, I've still got the pdf., so I'm uploading it as an attachment.

I know we haven't interacted a lot or anything, but it's always cool to see some old faces coming back.

Edit: Damn, it won't allow me to attach the file... I'll see what I can do.

Oh my gosh, the old forums are in the wayback machine. I tried looking for them a couple of months ago but it was only a few pages. You need a general timeline for what you're looking for since there is no navigation, but they are there. Thank you!

Built a merfolk deck and its been pretty amusing. Ixalan's land dwelling merfolk lend themselves very well into fast, aggressive decks and they look the part of primal cultists.

I think I might just give up trying to design a deck around Windgrace.
I've had zero luck this entire time.

I'm curious, which problems did you run into? Isn't "lands in graveyard matter" getting more and more support? And isn't there a ton of Urborg-related stuff in Magic? Granted, it might sound a lot easier in theory than it actually is...

I'm still dreaming of the day when all of the Nine Titans will have a card of their own. And it would be awesome if we got special vehicles representing the Titan Engines that can only be crewed by planeswalkers (through tapping or paying loyalty or whatever). But of course we still have a long way to go with any of that...

Edit: If the Nine Titans thing ever happens, I'd really like to see Commodore Guff letting you search for cards "from outside the game" to represent his fourth wall breaking, plus some obligatory library manipulation. And yes, I fully acknowledge that Guff is a terrible character, but all Nine Titans means all Nine Titans.

Guff should have been the Un-set walker.

I mean, you are not wrong, but I would still be bummed if we didn't get black-bordererd versions of all nine that can be played in "proper" decks (full disclosure, I'm not a fan of the silver-bordered stuff). Urza's talking head with random abilities does absolutely nothing for me, and neither would any other silver-bordered 'walker.

It's kinda sad that the four-coloured Commander decks didn't include 'walkers, it would have been the perfect opportunity for a four-colour Urza in the artefact deck...

Lands matter was an awful fit for him to start with, so no amount of building in that direction would amount to anything that felt accurate. The Urborg stuff is pretty much flavored as clashing with him too since it's largely "here is an abomination that won't stay dead"

Can anyone recommend some good Eberron tie-in novels?

just got back from Spiderman.
It wasn't bad.... but it wasn't especially good either. It was extraordinarily average, in fact.
Still leagues better than Captain Marvel.

Why not just do Jund Cats since they are the denizens of Urborg?

Not enough of them to fill out a deck, since catfolk are primary in white.

I did a lazy gatherer search of cats in jund colors and it turned up 80 results. Even if only 10-20 were appropriate, I imagine stuff like Pride of Sovereigns, while not being an urborg cat in partcular, is a fair enough fudge for the sake of making your other cats better. Then pad in some removal spells (Windgrace's Judgment) and maybe some artifacts.

Honestly, I don't remember a bunch of the minor details about Windgrace.
