Why Watcher in the Mist over Cloudreader Sphinx? You don't have anything that cares about the act of surveilling, cards in the yard, or creature types, and you don't have shuffle effects to put bottomed scry'd lands back in the draw mix. Seems like Watcher here is only harder to cast (not having the :u::u: cost could allow you to shave the guildgates for faster mana base) and that much quicker to lose to builds like Modulo's control pile that use Clear the Mind so you deck first.

An update to mine. I removed the two Wrecking Beast and put in two Rhizome Lurchers. The Beast turned out to be unplayable this time around.
The deck was at 7-3 before the edit. Haven't played since the edit.

Indeed, should swap Watcher for Sphinx.

I made my 15 wins and am no longer playing Pauper, but in that run I didn't run into any mill decks.

Okay Banedon. I took your early creature advise, lowered my non-creature spell count and went ahead and pulled the trigger and payed wildcards for the deck.

It's winning somewhere between 60%-66% of the games I've played. Here's the decklist I went with:

Proliferate Engine
3 x Ironshell Beetle
4 x Pollenbright Druid
4 x Aven Eternal
3 x Iron Bully
2 x Bloom Hulk
4 x Teferi's Time Twist
2 x Courage in Crisis
4 x Contentious Plan

Removal
3 x Disperse
3 x Band Together

Finishers
4 x Wardscale Crocodile

12 x Islands
13 x Forests

I've had the greatest success with Golgari in Pauper. This deck idea is mostly unchanged since open beta just modified after a new set comes out. Basically go wide Saprolings. I have a lot of luck with it. Mono red isn't a big issue. The only deck that's beaten me so far was a proliferate deck. I'm 4-1 since I started last night.

3 x Doomed Dissenter
9 x Swamp
3 x Deathbloom Thallid
4 x Yavimaya Sapherd
9 x Forest
3 x Thallid Omnivore
2 x Siege Wurm
3 x Fungal Infection
3 x Vicious Offering
4 x Saproling Migration
4 x Llanowar Elves
3 x Golgari Guildgate
1 x Golgari Guildgate
3 x Sauroform Hybrid
2 x Wrecking Beast
4 x Ob Nixilis's Cruelty

This deck is absolutely great!! I am a usual peeping tom on this forum, looking for ideas and deck improvements, but had to thank you for this one!
It didn't go so well against aura flyers, but was quite fun to play and really efficient.

Glad you enjoy it. I ended up 20-3 with it.
Edit: Actually, after 7 games I dropped the two Wrecking Beasts because the format was too fast this time around to play them out and put in two Rhizome Lurcher. Also, I guess you didn't draw into the Cruelty enough during those games. They were what helped me beat the Voltron decks. Those along with kicked Offerings.
