But GAT DANG ... I would like to question who among the AD's decided to give the Feather art-- a character who has been asked for for quite some time-- to Wayne Reynolds. It's like giving an official UN-set Urza card art to a Foglio.

I would like to believe that that AD is under the influence of Aurelia, who's livid that Feather actually returns in a card.

Yeah I thought it was a bit tragic that his Planeswalker card got revealed the same day that he was killed off in Chandra’s Triumph. Seems that is not the case. Also, the triumph cycle seems underwhelming since no actual decisive victories are taking place in them.

Bolas' plan to steal a bunch of sparks and fuse them into something that would give him more power like his old 'Walker self before the Mending. I assume it has a slightly different effect on a creature like Niv that isn't already a 'Walker, sine the new Niv card is not a Planeswalker. However, it may be enough of a kick to make Niv of comparable power to true Elder Dragon.

Yeah that is what the whole invasion of Ravnica is about. A long time ago Bolas found the ElderSpell in Dominaria which made him kick start the whole Amonkhet scheme. The invasion was just a ruse to draw Planeswalkers to Ravnica to use to power ElderSpell. The Immortal Sun made sure that the Planeswalkers couldn’t planeswalk away once they found out that they were going to be harvested for the ElderSpell.
