Hey, Chekhov's Blackblade is going in at least one elder dragon before this story ends. I'm sure of it.

We also have seen art of the Bolas statue felled to the ground, so I don't think any card tagged with "Spotlight: Act 1" will speak to the conclusion of the story.

Somehow I missed it was officially act 1.

That is verrrrrry interesting. I'm kinda liking the related-to-emrakul theory a lot more now

Will all of WAR take place on Ravnica, or will we also see some part of the conflict taking place elsewhere (specifically Amonkhet)?

Dammit MaRo, this is needlessly cryptic!

You mentioned we will see one other plane in WAR... I wouldn't ask you to spoil it, or even for hints... but can I just check whether you mean the views of Amonkhet that we've already seen? Like the view we get through the Planar Bridge?

markrosewater said:
There is a least one card completely set on another plane.
That's better.

Where is that from? Where is the Scorpion God?

Here you go. There's also this image of a display from PAX.

I'm guessing the Scorpion God is staying behind to oversee Amonket and maybe hunt down the survivors who fled into the desert with Hazoret.

Those are the missing gods, so he has at least 11 Gods for this invasion. 0.0 Bolas sure knows how to make a spectacle.

Bolas has four gods that have been eternalized (four of the five "main gods" of Amonkhet). The Egyptian plane did not have full cycles of gods. It only had eight and Bolas warped three of them into the Scorpion, Scarab, and Locust gods.

Are Eternals basically robots, or do they have some (all?) personality left?

You are right, for some reason I thought there were 12 total and some where missing.

The insect gods are also not Eternals, so they can't cross over without being killed and candy coated.

Since these gods are also zombies though (presumably), that really ups Liliana's potential here.

So reading back at the hand that moves;

Quote:
She closed her eyes against the onslaught, but still the images came tumbling through her head, crumpling her in mid-air. A falling dragon. Giants, covered in metallic blue, stomping through streets. A massive flash of light, consuming a world.

An angel descending from the sky.

At first I didn’t know what the giants were but now I see it’s the lazotep’d gods. The light could be the planar bridge, I have to think the falling dragon is Niv-Mizzett because it doesn’t look like Bolas isn’t losing any time soon. Then the Angel, who is it? The wanderer? Emrakul? Someone else?
