JD: seer is balanced. If you or KoD had picked different targets, the game would not have been auto-solved. That's one in nine (more if you add the scenarios where you check discard or KoD does nothing). For instance, if you had been swapped with Dusky the game would have been very different.

I am considering taking Insomniac it off the setup and replacing it with Tanner, which is what we would usually call a Jester. What do you think?

I doubt it. If I had picked anybody else it would have just confirmed the logic. As things were I had no reason to assume they were lying because I knew the OG wolf, but had I targeted Neo I would have still known the other town role was troublemaker and then would have known Dusky fake claimed. Conversly had I targeted KoD, Neo's initial claim would be supported as well and Dusky is still odd one out after the initial claim burst. If the game had one more player I'd probably agree but a game of that size just becomes too easy with a full seer, imo.

Does Tanner win with wolf or solo?

Had other targets been chosen, I think the main challenge for town would be determining if there is a wolf at all. The challenge for the wolf would be convincing people they are not a wolf. Course if Dusky had lied about using a role ability, that certainly could have made things even more hectic.

I certainly think the game would have been more interesting in that case if only because of paranoia.

As KoD said, there is no guarantee that there's a wolf at all, so there would be no objective information on Dusky.

Tanner wins alone. If Tanner and a wolf are both lynched, Tanner wins with the village. If only Tanner, or Tanner and a town role are lynched, everyone but Tanner loses. I had an amazing IRL game where I as the Seer knew that there were no wolves, and told town so we could No Lynch. Cue Tanner claiming and letting us know that unless we lynched him he would vote against the No Lynch, meaning the Village had no way to win. And then the Troublemaker reveals that he switched Tanner, but not the other target. We went from me thinking I had solved the game, to Tanner thinking he had solved it, to Troublemaker actually solving it in a single minute. In the end we had no Lynch, and I turned out to be the Tanner. Do I know from experience that Seer can be weaker it looks.

I've had a rough week, but I'll try to get this going again today or tomorrow.

I have not received a response from Dusky. Does anyone have contact with her outside the forums? From what I can tell, she hasn't been on since her last post in this thread.

I'm fairly certain she's not on the discord so I'll be unable to ping her there.
