Greetings my fellow NGA´s the time has come to break a new format, I my self haven't broken my cherry with RNA, but I´m saving all my gold for a big run once it hits the quick draft queue.

The set seems very interesting with a huge amount of great mulitcolor cards... at first sight Gruul looks impressive and Riot is a win win in a limited environment, Orzhov also seems like a solid with afterlife, what have you guys being drafting so far?

I'll post my top 5 commons/uncommons later just for fun, but one choice that stands out to me as being not T5 good is Cry of the Carnarium. I think it has applications in constructed, and in a vacuum it should be a top 5 in limited. But it isn't played in a vacuum; it's anti-synergy with so much in Rakdos and Orzhov guilds.

Rakdos is full of 2 toughness or less creatures. It exiles the reanimating skeleton and takes targets away from the spells that can return creatures to hand from graveyard. In Orzhov it nonbos with Afterlife creatures. It's a spell you want to use against those guilds - but being double black to cast, it's not easy to splash in an Esper deck with bigger butt flyers or Jund with beefcakes.

I'd be completely fine having it in sideboard Bo3 to bring in for certain matchups, and I do think you can confidently run it maindeck to in a certain type of control build, but it's not a top 5 for me in this set. Too narrow thanks to the exile effect nonbos.

I find it weird how Swirling Torrent is one of the top 5 blue non-rares while Arrester's Admonition is not. Both cards generate the same value, but Arrester's Admonition generates more tempo per mana and has the upside of being able to be cast instant-speed if needed.

Other than that, this looks good.

Could be that folks are looking at Admonition as a bad Blink of an Eye, but Torrent doesn't have a comparison in standard to look bad next to. Plus Admonition has more competition in the 3-mana range.

Also, there's something seductive about blanking your opponent's draw. It's flashier to remove 2 creatures from board and deny them a new card for a turn than to bounce 1 and cantrip.

I’m pretty sure Arrester´s Admonition is right down the top 5 cut, that card is solid, and Azorius fliers seems like a solid deck at first glance, has anyone tried it?

The deck has 16 creatures, so I would not want to cut a creature to maximize payouts...
maybe LUTS? But it seems like such a good card

? I count 40 in your main deck, not 41. Also count 15 creatures, not 16...

I think it looks pretty good overall. You're set up to have good G2s vs flyer decks with the spooder and reachy combat trick.

I do think 3 Rhythms is too many. You have a couple cards that can rummage extras if needing to draw action, and Wayfinder goes past them to find a creature, so it might work - but its going to suck to draw multiples early when trying to develop board presence, or top decking them late when needing action. With your 2x Vandals, running 2x Rhythms should be good without being punishing. I'd start the deck with 2 personally, and maybe board in the extra if you find it essential to have it out on curve in a matchup. I'd swap the 3rd for the fight spell, or another creature.

Do you have any extra gates that are compatible? I'm looking at that Ram in sideboard and thinking how great it could be. Be nice to upgrade those 2/3 reach doods and tuck them in SB for specific matchups. Think 2 gates isn't quite enough tho...

With mana base, I think you want to skew more to green rather than red. 3 of your 4 two drops are green, and your only double requirement card is green.

Looks solid, I'd run the 3 rhythms too. Riot stacks and a lot of your creatures are smallish, plus there's synergy with your falters. I'd love to be dropping rhythm on t3 consistently. If you had a rendhorn or a zur tah in the side i'd run that over the third rhythm, but as is it's still good value.

Deck looks super solid.
Seems a bit weird to leave Titanic Brawl in the board, but given your other spells it looks like the right call to me.
Seeing how Rhythm is a card you want to consistently draw and don't mind having multiples of, I'd start all 3; if that doesn't end up working out run Titanic Brawl over the third.
I would never cut the Light the Stage from this deck, it's better to run it than to run your worst creature.

If anything I'd consider cutting one Rubble Slinger for either the Feral Maaka (as another 2-drop) or one Mammoth Spider.

I know they stack but that's 3 cards that don't affect the board state (with LUTS, that's 10% of your deck in limited, and with lands just over 50%). Curious if the benefit beef and chance of casting one on curve makes up for that.

Plus I think the deck looks fun and want to see it in action :)

I just noticed that since I'm platinum in draft, I'm also going to meet strong opposition ... so dropping to 50-60% win rate is something to be expected :D

Yeah, ranking in quick draft is a scam. Wish they'd put that in the expensive ques instead, makes it really rng based since instead of comparing decks by wins it compares by rank.

Quick draft is up!

had a couple disappointing drafts, a gastes deck that didn't quite get there and a good simic pile that mana screwed into oblivion.

But then I drafted one of those decks you look at and think "well this is just plain unfair". No crazy bombs, and a wonky curve, but how is your opponent ment to win if you don't mana screw? I didn't mana screw :D

Last game was fun, vs an esper control list with lots of ways of recurring Dovin's Acuity and a fair amount of flyers. They couldn't keep up with the chill train though, and their endless judgements couldn't touch my sphinx.

7-2 with this. Lost to UW fliers while finding no removal and the mirror - Opp had two Ill-Gotten Inheritance down before I found any.

Almost didn't play Kaya's Wrath as some have been down on it this format, but I always actively wanted it and it was great every time I drew it. Seems to fit best in the Inheritance deck anyway as attacking isn't particularly important. A couple Simic opps fired off all their Quenchs on my dorky two drops then died after I got Inheritance down on curve. Had two Undercity Scavengers, a Consign to the Pit and some other reasonable cards in the board that just didn't fit the gameplan.

Weird draft though, Orzhov couldn't have been more open. Wheeled an Inheritance and Pitiless Pontiff. Bots snapped up all the non-Orzhov gates and seemed to disregard the Orzhov gates completely.
