Doesn't seem consistent enough. Too easy to run into a brick wall.

Aggro can be problematic, specially if you draw the Narcomebas or Creeping chill... on the other hand if you surveil them you are in for a ride...

Forget the self-mill, this is where you want to be with Arclights:

Arclight Wizards

Creature(16)
3 x Siren Stormtamer
4 x Goblin Electromancer
3 x Adeliz, the Cinder Wind
4 x Arclight Phoenix
2 x Rekindling Phoenix

Instant(19)
4 x Opt
1 x Shock
4 x Radical Idea
1 x Mission Briefing
3 x Blink of an Eye
4 x Wizard's Lightning
2 x Chemister's Insight

Sorcery(5)
4 x Chart a Course
1 x River's Rebuke

Land(20)
8 x Island
4 x Mountain
4 x Sulfur Falls
2 x Steam Vents
2 x Izzet Guildgate

Adeliz is just as big a threat as the Arclights in this deck, has haste and is a removal magnet (to draw removal away from the Arclights) and she just happens to pump the stormtamers and electromancers.
Rekindling Phoenix is just better than the drakes, especially because it draws out the exile spells or 2 removal spells instead of just 1.
The mystic got the axe because of the 4cc. If it was 3... I could usually only drop it a turn too late most games and now I have space for the blinks again.
Spoiler

Just swap 2 guildgates for steam vents if you've got them.

I finally got my full set of izzet lands, so to celebrate I unashamedly net-decked the most successful variant from the latest tournaments.
First run in a constructed event was a satisfying 7-2, including the last 2 wins vs mono-red (which is a tough match-up).

I love how the deck pure and simply takes a dump on control.

The losses were to merfolk (oh the shame!) and to esper control (all my win-con s were hiding in the last 20 cards...)

Actually, I find that 3 of my Arclights seem to always be in the bottom half of my deck pretty consistently, so it's a good thing that gigantic drakes with haste are a thing!

Yeah, this is currently my favourite deck, especially because it just owns teferi more often than not.

It's easy for Esper to deal with post-boards, when they bring in things like Ixalan's Binding and a full set of Vraska's or something. God help you if they run Unmoored Ego in their sideboard.

In Bo1, yeah, this crushes control.

Ixalan Binding does not take care of the phoenixes coz you are not casting them at all, and there is one debate on whether Unmoored Ego or the likes are good cards to begin with, I personally don't think they are great against decks like this, besides Enigma Drake or Crackling drake can get haste with Maximize velocity and you could be dead in one Swing... That said I think the matchup is very open in B03.
What are your thoughts on cards like Unmoored Ego?

Unmoored ego looks like combo hate to me and we don't really have any high tier combo decks ATM. The closest thing would be the drake/Arclight decks.

Could be viable vs control or decks with very few wincons, especially if your playing mission briefing to reuse it, but the fact is it doesn't affect the board and gives your opponent cards, so it will probably backfire against the majority of decks, especially against foodstuff decks like BG.

Latest Update
I went 3 Primal Amulets and the deck is great with them, Goblins just die way to easy and the cost reduction really pushes your ability to cast 3 instants consistently.
The deck is running solid on the ladder B03 against meta decks.
The explosiveness Drowned Secrets and Maximize Velocity provides are consistent and very fun to pilot, plus the resilience of the Phoenixes... are quite powerful.

Arclight Self-Mill

Creature(8)
x1 Goblin Electromancer
x4 Arclight Phoenix
x3 Crackling Drake

Instant(13)
x4 Opt
x4 Radical Idea
x1 Lightning Strike
x1 Expansion // Explosion

Sorcery(11)
x1 Maximize Velocity
x4 Chart a Course
x1 Lava Coil
x3 Secrets of the Golden City
x2 Beacon Bolt
x3 Discovery // Dispersal

Enchantment(3)
x3 Drowned Secrets

Artifact(3)
x3 Primal Amulet

Land(22)
x11 Island
x4 Mountain
x3 Sulfur Falls
x4 Steam Vents

Sideboard(15)
x2 Shock
x1 Drowned Secrets
x3 Negate
x2 Fiery Cannonade
x3 Fight with Fire
x3 Ral, Izzet Viceroy
x1 Expansion // Explosion

It looks like it counted Discovery // Dispersal on the instants but listed as sorcery... I got 14 Sorceries and it counts just 11

Ok, so I bought the big pack and made an Arclight deck. This is fun, nice change of pace from Golgari/Sultai ;-)
