Had a crazy hallucination of Vivien delivering the final blow to Bolas in Ravnica and killing Dominaria with her arrows at the same time.

Would be extremely happy if the first was an accurate vision of the future, would be mildly sad if the latter also was true.

Would still rather have Vivien be an antagonist on Ravnica than have her show up at all this block.

I can't tell if things have just been super slow because we've all been kinda busy or if the Ravnica story has just been so dull we're all looking at other stuff.

In other news, saw Bohemian Rhapsody. I think I get why critics weren't thrilled. It doesn't do much out of the ordinary in this type of movie and they didn't make a huge deal about a lot of the issues you'd expect, just presented the events without making statements.

But on the other hand, I bloody loved it because it's bloody Queen and that's all it had to be.

Now that I'm out of a job, I'm not sitting in front of a computer for 8+ hours a day and my regular posting has taken a bit of a hit.

In other news, going to go see the new Nutcracker movie with my wife this weekend.

I reread the Kamigawa novels, and the main thought I had throughout was "I wanna play this video game." I don't think I've ever had that from a book before (usually I ponder about movie or tv show adaptations). The Toshi-Kobo fight against the three kami even feels like it's a summoning tutorial. It even has an excuse for random encounters.

Sidenote: It bothered me more than it should about who gets names in the books. The oni hound, Eitoku's shinobi partner and the moth with a personality don't get names, but Cloud-Fur, Fuan and Hon do. While understandably not given names, half the individual yamabushi were more distinctive than any of those three.

I have been busy. I just read Clans & Legions today. Liked it a lot. The stories don't really provide a ton for discussion, but I really do like them a lot.

Got a Switch, but had so little time lately that I haven't even gotten to do anything except set it up.

I also got a Switch. Arrived in the mail today, going to pick it up tomorrow. And then who knows maybe I'll play on it one day too.

Would be the best use for it.

I got my Smash Ultimate Switch on the second. So far, I have played on it for about five hours. I played Monster Hunter demo for about two of those. Wish I had the money to buy the full game and Octopath.

I think I might have to get that special edition Switch. The special editions hold onto a lot more resale value, probably enough to make up the price difference. So it's not really an indulgence at all!

Reselling consoles o-O

The only special edition that looked good to me was the Monster Hunter one, but trying to get it didn't seem worth it, so I'll just get some covers instead if I'm feeling it.

I promised myself I wouldn't get a switch unless they had a smash bros one, or J probably would have gotten the MH one.

So, with the Dominaria artbook and all kinds of Magic-related D&D material having been out for a while, I was wondering if anyone has had the chance to run (or participate in) a D&D campaign on Dominaria yet..? If yes, how did it go and what was it about?

Haven't done a Dominaria game yet. One lady up at the game shop is itching to do a Ravnica game soon though.

I bought the Guildmaster's Guide To Ravnica, but haven't read it yet. I haven't even read the DM's Guide yet either

So if you're scanning a bunch of old notes what resolution and file format would you want to use? My options are PDF and Jpg. I've never really done this before.

Pdf will be the better option. It has better compression.
As for resolution, that's something I can't really weigh on.

Yeah reading up on it, one of the weaknesses of jpg is that it doesn't do sharp contrasts well and that's basically what writings on paper are, so I think I'll take your advice and go PDF.

I got Civ 6 finally.

I shouldn't have gotten Civ 6. I played like 20 hours in 3 days.
