It's crazy how fun Disinformation Campaign is in Limited.

Just went 7-2 in my first attempt at sealed running Dimir. Unfortunately I didn't take a screenshot of my pile. Narcomoeba was the only rare that made the cut. I jammed in all the removal/bounce and draw/surveil I could find. Other creatures that served their role well: Vedalken Mesmerist, Nightveil Sprite, Pitiless Gorgon and Watcher in the Mist. Losses were against Selesnya and Golgari, both going wide too fast. Rewards included Boros shockland and some useful Golgari stuff.

Dark blade Angel and Nightveil Sprite are quite a nice combo

Same with Night veil Sprite and Disinformation Campaign

My second draft ever. It didn't him me they were best of 3. I thought, wow, this dude has a deck like the last. Lost the first and won the second and then had to go talk to my son without realizing it was bo3. Came back to a defeat.

It's crazy how good it is in 2-headed giant. Double discard!
Plus, it grants the caster free license to slander their opponent on resolution.

@Modulo LVS does address the duality of Izzet but he thinks there are two decks... not one confused guild, the control one -the one I think is better- and the hyper-aggressive one so good call buddy

Without multiple absolute bombs, Boros is bad in limited. Too many 2 power nothing creatures with Mentor.

Now the question is: Go for it tonight or wait for the weekend?

I'm expecting a rougher field tonight (EU prime time).

Well, i drafted Golgari. I'd heard a few people say it's the worst guild to draft so I wasn't keen, but P1P1 Beast Whisperer seemed downright dumb to pass. Was rewarded with a Ritual of Soot, Find/Finality and a Findbroker so yeah, worked out real good in the end. 7-1 after some pretty grindy games.

Find/Finality is just disgusting in draft




Ran Uprising just as a removal spell since I was lacking spot removal. Ran Flower and 16 lands since it seemed ok, not sure if I should have just ran 17 lands instead but I got it in the opener a fair few times so it did thin the deck a bit. IDK if that's the right approach, could have ran a white land or selesnya guildgate for the flip side but it didn't seem worth it with the double g and b on 3 and 4.

IMO the hyper-aggressive Izzet deck is basically mono-red running Blue for a very few spells. The blue and Izzet creatures really don't support the aggressive playstyle the deck wants to emulate, and there's only a handful blue and Izzet cards - almost, if not all of them being spells - that lean hyper-aggressive. Red has a few more of these, but the deck fights every Boros drafter at the table for them.
The UR control deck is probably a bit better than I initially gave it credit for (because I misjudged how good Blue and how bad Green would be), but Red still gives less good control tools than Black, and the blue cards are mostly better in Dimir as well.

To be fair though, Izzet is the one guild that evades the grasp of the (very possible) 3-colour Green decks (Abzan, Sultai, Naya), who can pick gold cards from other guilds thanks to the good fixing Green provides.

Opened an Unmoored Ego pack 1 in draft and figured I'd pick it up on the wheel for constructed sideboard. It did not wheel. What on earth is the AI doing drafting it at all, let alone before 9th pick? Oh well.

Could've had a sweet UR aggro deck but got a bit greedy with the raredrafting and ended up with a 4-3 deck. Picked up Blood Operative, Lazav, the Multifarious, Dream Eater, Experimental Frenzy, Charnel Troll, Midnight Reaper, and Ionize though, pretty content with that haul.

Don’t have the computer in front of me, but here’s my current draft and a bit of the sideboard from memory. Do the Piston-Fists have a place in the deck given that Sworn Companions powers them as well, or should I just go for the more mundane 2/3 drops?

@DCG, 2 Pistons may be too much, I would keep one and swap the other for the 3/2, and probably lose one land for another 2cmc drop... if you want to go full agression, or swap one for the 3/2 and the other for the Dragon and keep 17 lands... for a more versatile approach... the pile looks like it can go super aggressive but can it keep the pressure high enough to end games on the ground?... not so sure
Overall the deck looks all right you got lots of removal but little evasion... maybe the second dragon is not a bad move.

On the other hand, I crashed on my first draft went 3-2 I did not read well the cards and after a P1P1 Capture Sphere, I stayed in Dimir colors... I got a P1P5 Steam kin... I didn't change colors and from that point on, I got passed all kind of good Boros cards... live and learn... live and learn...

On the second draft I got P2P1 Vraska... so Sultai again and the pile is looking sexy, it needs one more cut and there are some interesting choices on SB -last column- I even got the Disinformation campaign, NightVeil, and Darkblade Agent combo going, I went heavy on counters to test the intel provided on LR... lets see how that goes.
@Modulo what do you think of the mana base? I dunno if 2G sources are enough... I plan to cast Vraska T5-6

Looks like a super nice draft though could use a bit more surveil. Personally I might go down a swamp and the locket for another forest and the indrik. Might drop one of the 4 mana counters for a Douser too.
