You keep the cards you picked. So it's less cards than sealed, but most cards are basically useless and you get to choose in draft. If you're planning on dropping a lot of money then sealed is better for pure bulk of cards, if you're only doing one or two then you're at the mercy of rng - maybe you get some great rares/mythics and maybe you get unplayable chaff.

My view is that with there being more drafts you get to see and choose from more cards which seems far better for shaping your collection.

And yea, Guilds will be available in Quick Draft (the best draft format) at some point. I'm going to find it so hard to not rare draft every shockland I see :D

You obviously should. The shocklands are almost always going to be more valuable for you going forward than any particular deck-specific card, if you plan to play any other format.

Yup. But there's going to be times when it's up against a bomb uncommon that could really help your draft, rare pick too many times and a potential 7 win deck that straight up buys a re-draft ends up significantly weaker. That said I'll probably still take the land, they're just so important.

Eh, I can't think of any uncommons that would be enough to do that. Sure, having that extra Price of Fame or whatever would help, but it isn't going to drop a 7 win deck to a zero win deck or anything.

Things like District Guide or the 4 mana gate ramp for example - if you've got a strong 3 colour deck going even the second copy of those cards is going to be so valuable in making your powerful stuff consistent. But yeah, the lands are super tasty.

Haven't seen a lot of conversation here. Still haven't done Sealed yet but just purchased 3400 gems and thinking of trying it out.
Have only done Sealed in DOTP 2014 and that's been a while so I'm kind of wondering if the big deal in Sealed vs Draft is that you aren't picking out of picked out of packs and get to conceivably use all the card in all the packs you crack and get to keep them nevertheless (which is a good thing in Arena).
I am right that that is the big difference, right?
It's a 40 card deck with about 16 or 17 land like Draft, right?
Right?
LoL

Well from looking into it and jogging my memory Sealed seems to me that you either open good packs and make good decks or the opposite. LoL
This is my first pack screen.
I think my collection is going to be smoking after this!!!
Edit: Not really. Jumped the gun without realizing these were the only rares. Damnit. Let's see what I can make out of this thing.

Looks like Golgari is where your rares go, but you need to analyze your uncommons, too.

Somewhat shocked. Both the Troll and the Beast Whisperer are absolute must remove bombs that take over games in like 1 turn.

Is there really no alternative to splashing the red? Seems like it adds next to nothing to the deck and at quite a steep cost. Vicious Rumours is also bad, but the red is what I'd try to get rid of as a priority. Running UUBB with so few sources has to feel bad.

I'm with Vert here; this looks FAR from the best build you can make out of your pool. You're basically playing Red for 2 great, 1 good, and 3 mediocre to bad cards (this deck does not have enough creatures for Sure Strike and Maximize Velocity to be good); and quite some of your cards I'd consider among the worst cards in the format (Dazzling Lights, Vicious Rumors, Never Happened).

On the other end, your Green has 2 bomb quality cards we know of and quite possibly more good cards. I'd think Green is a better third colour for you than Red could ever dream to be.

Thanks y'all. I haven't even played a game yet. Had other things to consider and I'm glad I'm reading this before I take that into a game. I started in using the Demon and Dragon as bombs and a few good Dimir cards. That's how I built that mess out.

What's funny is that I completely agree with the three worst cards you listed and yet.... I really did not get a great pool to work with. Off work a little early and still haven't played a game yet so I'm going to do some rebuilding. Golgari does look that the other viable option. Honestly I would have went Rakdos but did not have the Uncommon/Common support to do so and I do have a few nice Dimir cards.
Going to rebuild and post for feedback. I normally trust my deck building even if it's a bit Janky but Limited is a different animal and I really have limited experience with the formats.
Let me get to **** the deck here.....
Edit: Now, looking at it, I don't have enough cards to do Golgari. Looks like it will end up either Mardu or Abzan. More than likely Mardu as I have a Nightveil Predator just aching to be played. My Green is pretty dismal. Three copies of Siege Wurm a Vigorspore Wurm and two Crushing Canopy's are all there is.

Uhhh, 3 Siege Wurms and a Vigorspore Wurm, together with Beast Whisperer and Chanel Troll is like the dream scenario? What am I missing?

I wasn't crazy about the Siege Wurm but I guess you are right in that I need the bombs in Limited. I think I'll put the third in and remove..... something.

Edit: I'm wondering about the wording on Leapfrog. That's why I'm trying it. The way it reads is once you satisfy the requirements it gains flying for the time it's on the battlefield. Is that right???

Could you post your entire cardpool from U/B/G? I might be able to help your curve that way. I don't know what's going in vs. coming out.

EDIT: And no, the Leapfrog's ability gives it flying if you cast an instant or sorcery this turn. And then when the next turn starts, it will check again and determine that, so far this turn, you haven't played an instant or sorcery and thus it doesn't fly.

That's not so easy to do. As far as I know I can't find anyway to export the pool.
