edit: Didn't see there was one thread in the subforum already, sorry.

Divine Visitation

This is my current favorite GRN card and I want to build around it. It creates Serra Angels all the time. Do you think it can be viable (aiming for a positive record in Quick Constructed) in a mono-white or Selesnya shell?

There are so many token creation possibilities that could become busted with this in play. I'm just afraid that this is too "Timmy-ish". I see that Selesnya tokens will probably exist, but does it need or want my enchantment?

If it is, it'd be in a Saproling Ramp shell with mana bugs and Song of Freyalise.

Magic's a simple game, 2 people take turns playing cards and in the end Divinevert wins 2-0...

I'm afraid Assassin's Trophy is going to make this kind of all-in build-around strategy a terrible idea.

Preferred Pronoun Set: Mr.
Tendershoot Dryad would have a place in that deck as far as I'm concerned, along with SOF.
Sound janky enough for me to try it... if I decide I'm going to play from the beginning again.
Too bad you wouldn't generate Saproling Angels.

It could still work if it has two things

1. top end win cons not reliant on Divine Visitation
2. An ability to exploit the enchantment the turn it comes in

For point 2, you have 2 nice ways in GRN:
Haazda Marshal
and
Legion Warboss
Both are mana free ways of making tokens on T5, so maybe divine visitation could actually be a curve topper in a token based boros deck.

Also Emmara and Tendershoot Dryad in green. And maybe Shalai to stall.

Llanowar into Warboss into Shalai into Visitation is some serious Christmas tale material...

Edit: Wait, the most hilarious/annoying way to go about this might be Abzan control with Karn and Vraska, Relic Seeker :D
They're both on curve if all goes well, and if it doesn't your hand is full of Trophies, Settles and Contempts instead of 1/1 Marshals.

And if we can do black, there is Rite of Belzenlok, that'd be hilarious :D

What was it that made God-Pharaoh's Gift so strong? The fact that it worked the turn you played it? Or that you could fetch it with its little brother? That it didn't rely on any other card to make new creatures?

The fact that you can cheat it into play with Refurbish while otherwise enacting a solid control-like gameplan with tons of card selection. Also Angel of Invention.

Faced this in singleton, turned a Leonin Warleader into MegaGeist of St Traft with the upside of the angel tokens not being exiled. I was ready for the warleader attack but not the 2 4/4 angels attacking me that turn.

A warleader is pretty good Trophy bait too.

I actually tried out the visitation with the haazda marshals and it was pretty sweet (I had 3 that netted me 3 angels in one go), but ultimately it's win-more, because by the time I'm able to cast it, I should finishing the game anyway.

I do see Divine visitation as the top end of a Boros or Selesnya pile, if you run out of gas this thing can turn Heroic reinforcements into 2 5/5 flyers with haste... that's just nasty... and I love it
