Yeah, depends what you want. My list has 4 cards in the deck that cost more than 3 mana and 3 of those are ghaltas. I really like being able to win with only 2-3 lands in play, and also being able to just use Hashep Oasis as needed.

This is my maindeck atm, pretty standard stuff:

Yeah, I guess. Just had a great 5-0 run vs mostly UW and that's just so satisfying. Then the shuffler decided to hate on me.

edit: Just completed the "deal 50 damage" quest in a single, lost game :takei:
Died to 1/1 lifelink tokens and two Fumigates.. what an awkward game.

Sorry this isn't too relevant, but don't you just love it, when the one and only decision that has an impact on the game's outcome, is the decision to mull or keep?

I just went into Quick Constructed with an upgraded version of the deck to get my first 0-3 with it. Game 3 was a hard matchup (white lifegain) that I can only win with a much faster draw. I think I kept 4 lands, 2 3-drops and Nissa.
Game 1 I kept a similar hand and had essentially the same issue: Couldn't close the game before the opponent took over, despite the easier matchup (UB control)
Game 2 I was simply mana-screwed with 2 lands in 12 cards.

Do I have to mull more aggressively and force Llanowar Elves + 3-drop? That's the thing I really dislike about aggressive decks, depending so much on the starting hand and the coin flip..

That's part of the attraction of cutting the curve down as low as possible, but yeah it happens. Personally I mull quite aggressively with mono green, not to elf+3 drop but I wouldn't keep a hand of 4 lands+3 drops. My list runs 7 one drops, so not enough to always expect one in the opener, but I'd mull a hand with no 1s or 2s pretty much every time.

This stuff happens though, at least the deck is consistent so these awkward games don't come too close together.

Interesting, thanks.

I have 4 elves, 1 elephant and 6 2-drops.

I don't follow deck specific mulligan rules (yet), and try to keep most hands for I don't want the card disadvantage. However, thinking about it, a set of my 5 best cards probably has a much better shot at beating a slow opponent than a bad or even random 7 card hand..

That's why free play is miserable :D

That's an interesting read, thank you.

I'm toying around with Singleton right now for a change of pace.
