They'd have to be stupid to shut down Magic Duels before MTG Arena even comes out of beta.

I mean...... I don't know about the average consumer, but I would not be confident enough to spend money on a F2P game in beta who's predecessor was just shut down. It would take some serious stones to try and pull something like that.

With their record I doubt it...more likely they don't know it went down.

This is the thing I got yesterday where the wheel for connecting spins forever when you press start on the home paige, right? When I saw this thread yesterday I assumed you just couldn't play online matches, but I couldn't get into the game at all. Seems really dumb you can't even play story mode or AI matches... feels wrong since I put a bit of money into the game when it was new (not a ton of money, and I have gotten a ton of play hours, but still). Agree with mjack that it'd send the wrong message to people considering magic arena and putting money into that economy if it is shut down on purpose.

some people just dropped 60 bucks on Duels and they're super pissed

If you disconnect your internet, you can log into the game and play AI and story for no coins

Now it's just a question of how long it will take them to write Shakespeare.

Just wanted to add that I was jonesing so bad that I fired up 2015 and sat here for 15 minutes to get a match!

I would kind of doubt the end is here as I can still hop on ps3 and play 2014 and 2013.... I think.
