Keep leveraging best practices Monobluegruul. This is the paradigm shift we need.

As someone who works at a grocery store, "best practices" just fills me with feelings of annoyance.

You're going to have to synergize better if you want to upsell yourself onto that tiger team.

Sorry for the slow reply, but work pretty much kicked the **** out of me this weekend. Specifically because of Infinity War.

i'm pretty sure we get the Captain Marvel movie as well as the Antman and Wasp movie to tide us over. It's likely that they will take place either just before or just after Infinity War so that we can bulk up the roster for the second Avengers movie.

Captain Marvel supposedly takes place decades in the past.
And as much as I like Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, who can possibly give a damn about Ant Man and Wasp?
The only reason I'd want to see it is to watch his annoying friend die.

Me. But only because Marvel owes me a Wasp. Even if it isn't the right one.

Janet is the only acceptable choice. Nadia is bland and the movie Wasp is AWFUL.
But that's not entirely her fault, the side characters in that movie were just abysmal. Aside from Cassie, I guess.

Ask Jar-Jar who cares about side characters.

Barin, what do you mean by "the movie Wasp is terrible"? Are you referring to Janet, Hope, or both (from Ant-Man)?

I loved Infinity War! Yeah, the wait for next year is going to be hard. I am looking forward to both Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Captain Marvel, the latter more so, both because of the end credit scene from Infinity War and because I love spacefaring stories and it seems like this will be one, at least to some extent. Plus the different uniforms I've seen for her in the teasers/leaks for the film look very cool, especially the red & blue one.

Ant-Man and the Wasp looks like it will be really cool, what with showing off the interesting superpowers, like the first one.

Hope, specifically.
There are multiple layers to why I don't think she works.
First and foremost is that she's from a single what if that's obscure, even by obscure standards, and when even the hardcore fanbase doesn't know what's going on, that's an issue.
Beyond that, her character archetype gets old very fast as the serious/hyper competent foil to Scott's character. As a consequence, I don't feel much investment as Scott draws her out, but that's also a byproduct of the third issue.
Her strained relationship with Hank isn't very compelling, not least because it's exceedingly cliche.

It all adds up to a tiresome character to deal with. She's not TERRIBLE, if truth is told, but since she's one of a few very very bad side characters, any goodwill to be directed her way is spent just by having the others on screen.

Fair enough. I'm not coming from a background of familiarity with the comics, so I can't comment on the obscurity of her character, but I agree that the dynamic between her and Scott wasn't super interesting. Hopefully (no pun) that'll be fixed in the new one.

I enjoyed the Venom trailer. My only concern is with the villains.

I wish I had more people to talk to about SU. Crazy stuff just happened. A huge twist was to be expected but this...wow.

Honestly, the twist was that they juked earlier to throw people off the trail and now a TON of those speculators were proven right after having had to eat their words.

I'm okay with the show having done this, but all said speculators are going to be unbearably smug about it.
