Here's my current WIP Ramunap Red that's been doing extremely well with one caveat. I concede...a lot. I am trying to get 30 wins/day as quickly as possible, so if there is a momentum shift in the match that I don't think I can recover from, I just concede and move on. Over 72 matches that I tracked, win rate is 57%, including the times I concede. 65% win rate when I exclude the concedes.

I usually hate playing RDW, but I really love it in this format while everyone is running some version of Scarab God or Approach. Those are my two favorite matchups.

Still working on a few gaps in the deck, but it's been pretty strong.

Updated after a 1 common, 1 uncommon, 1 rare wildcard this morning!

14 x Mountain
1 x Soul-Scar Mage
2 x Daring Buccaneer
3 x Fanatical Firebrand
4 x Magma Spray
2 x Rigging Runner
1 x Abrade
4 x Lightning Strike
4 x Ahn-Crop Crasher
1 x Captain Lannery Storm
1 x Glorybringer
3 x Hazoret the Fervent
3 x Goblin Trailblazer
1 x Puncturing Blow
2 x Earthshaker Khenra
2 x Rampaging Ferocidon
4 x Ramunap Ruins
4 x Sunscorched Desert
3 x Nest Robber
1 x Rekindling Phoenix

Eventually, I'd like to get to 4x Earthshaker Khenra (replacing Nest Robber), 4x Soul-Scar Mage, in addition to a couple of other small changes. Should I try for a 4th Hazoret, or is that getting a bit excessive?

Any other suggestions?

I think my first Rare Wild cards -If I ever get in- would be Soul scar mage... when I saw that for the first time I thought it was absolutely broken.
But Khenra is probably the most versatile 2 drop in red ATM but then again... I got no clue of the current meta.

I'd say a 4 Firebrand/2 Daring Buccaneer split, next mythic on Phoenix #2 before Haz #4, next two rares on Khenra, and after that I might take a look at a Dire Fleet Daredevil before going Soul Scar?

This is my current build:

Creatures
3 x Daring Buccaneer
4 x Fanatical Firebrand
4 x Rigging Runner
2 x Bloodrage Brawler
4 x Earthshaker Khenra
2 x Goblin Trailblazer
4 x Ahn-Crop Crasher
2 x Captain Lannery Storm
1 x Rampaging Ferocidon
1 x Hazoret the Fervent
1 x Rekindling Phoenix
1 x Glorybringer
Instants
4 x Magma Spray
4 x Lightning Strike
Artifacts
1 x Throne of the God-Pharaoh
Lands
14 x Mountain
4 x Ramunap Ruins
4 x Sunscorched Desert

WC aquisition rate has been slow... But it's been consistent against everything, even the mirror.

Haven, I like it :)

BTW, I'm mKind on the Arena forums. :) (Wish I could change my name here too).

Jealous of your 4x Khenra.

I see you took out Cartouche...me too, easy cut once the deck starts filling out.

How has Throne of the God Pharaoh been performing? Would you cut it at some point as you fill out the deck?

Cardboard...great idea - I'll go for 2nd Phoenix before 4th Hazoret. Think I might even cut Glorybringer.

And Barney...thanks for the advice man! I'm trying, but everything tastes so damn good (except salad).

Salad is good!! Just compromise and put extra dressing ... and bacon. I tell y’a, a well-dressed Cobb is heaven. Mexican salad is great too. Asian salad is... ok

A year ago doctor orders me to get the cholesterol down. I know greens are the best way to do this ... and i HÂTE salad. So I figured out how to make salad good :)

It helps that I mostly hate fries so that’s an easy swap. McDonald’s isn’t that bad if you swap fries for salad and soda for juice. Yay

Thanks.
I figured earthshakers and crashers were the heart of the deck so I blow all my WCs on them first. Ferocidon was my Last aquisition, haven't even dropped it yet (only games I drew it, opps scoot).
Throne has been ok... Would be better if there was any decent Vehicles in the meta, to force tap my guys without attacking in a stall. It really just makes fast games faster and doesn't help all that much in tougher games, so its a bit win-moar. It encourages your opponent to trade more often, because opp can't race the extra damage and to reduce the number of tapped creatures, which is usually good for me in my very creature heavy build.
It does however feel good to do damage with exterted crashers when they don't untap.
Cartouche got the axe and so did open fire. Cartouche won me quite a few game, but it would sit in my hand all too often, especially since most of my guys are hasty already. Brawler would love to become hasty, but I'd probably have to toss the Cartouche to get him in play anyway.
Open fire was too slow for the mirror, though I miss the extra face burn.

Yup on the current meta he doesnot shine a lot... maybe with the new wizards on dominaria... I think there will be a decent Izzet wizards deck.

A Wizard deck is one thing I'm really looking forward to!
