We are only currently at 2/3rd's. With no Dark Souls. Seems a bit low.



Being super real. What I actually should have said is no one responds to my opinions. Generally. Ranting at the air only does so much, and that's what Reddit is for tbh.

Edit: Being super super real, this is an aberration, not a pattern. I'm not planning on becoming an active poster. I couldn't resist a good setup and then felt like bitching about the fact that A) MTG:A's economy is worse than HS and B) stupid MTG:A won't let me in.

Speaking of ranting at the air, apparently in Dark Souls 3 the Twin Princes fight (2nd to last not including DLC) and Nameless King fight are where I'm forced to level up past Level 1. Not including DLC.

In Bloodborne it's literally Gehrman; but that's because like half that game's bosses are optional. If we included optional fights it would be any of the DLC, Martyr Logarius, or Ebrietas.

DS1 iirc it was Kalameet and Manus. I really hope the remaster includes an option to NOT continue onto NG+ until you directly choose to do so, b/c I hate not being able to kill Gwyn until the very last thing on any cycle. <- Not tested against Gwyn but I'm 99% sure he'd just die to Great Combustion almost immediately like every other time I've fought Gwyn with pyromancy. I *really* hope they fix his AI so that isn't possible in the Remastered version. Dude is dumb as a rock in the original. That and Blight Town. I hope they fix Blight Town so it's not a performance nuke.

For anyone who has know idea what i'm talking about with that last bit, Gwyn is a boss who's AI response to a point blank range hit scan (effectively when locked on) attack is to jump sideways around you. You are still locked on and using the attack, so this does nothing to actually avoid the attack. Or the next attack. Or the one after that. And so on. You can thus continue this attack until you run out, which is actually enough to kill the boss on the first cycle of the game with a fully powered up glove iirc. If it isn't like that (I could swear it was though) then it's still close enough damage-wise to make the fight trivial. I love pyromancy so I've never actually fought this boss, and this is the final boss of the game which is really stupid.

For people who didn't know, the reason Dark Souls 1 has never run that well on anything without mods is that it basically doesn't limit Draw Distance. .... Like that's it. You can't see enemies in Lost Izalith from the Tomb of the Giants but other than that extreme example there is no limit to draw distance in the game. Going into an area with as much visual clutter as Blighttown thus completely and utterly LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGS the game beyond an acceptable range on anything but modded PC versions.

Blighttown, for people who haven't played the game, is this giant *** underground cavern with no line of sight blockers anywhere to block your view of anything from any area of blighttown, so the game is trying to render 80+% of the stuff in that entire area simultaneously at any one point in time outside of the player being in a few tunnels. This plus the no draw distance limiter is pretty much one of the dumbest combinations in video game history.

People are really excited for the remaster partially b/c the game has basically never run well on anything. Hopefully this will finally fix that.

I'm not willing to wait that long. It's only going to be around for a couple of years before it gets replaced again. I don't even know if it's going to have time to make it to Xbox One.

I just had a moment where I was really excited to eat something, people said really bad things that made me worried as I was walking up to grab one, I took one bite out of it without hesitation to show my support anyways, and......

It was at that moment that I realized there is a limit to what one is willing to do to not hurt someone else's feelings. From above, those cookies looked so good. From below...... there are no words to describe what I have just experienced in that one moment of sheer utter dread. But when I turned that cookie over and saw the horror beneath the pleasant exterior......... the fact that I swallowed the first bite after observing such a monstrosity is a testament to sheer will and fortitude. Or a result of complete shock. I don't know which. At least I managed to walk away without saying anything bad.

Five minutes later I managed to sneak the remainder of the beast into the trash when the baker was otherwise occupied. Next time, I am handling the desserts. I can't cook worth a **** but at least I don't think I could whip up something that would show up under the heading "antediluvian terror".
