Just one submission!! I blame Nomad... I can submit mine but its a torture to play... ps: Those bastard at WOTC will never gimme a key for Arena... I hate them!
I’ve got a Call for Unity token build that is a blast vs ai. I will even try to play it on the ladder at least once before calling it my submission. It won’t beat DCGs but at least it will give us one more build to roll with.

Yeah we gotta blame Nomad for apparently picking a card that inspires no one
Seems a lot more versatile than Sunscorched Desert though. Outside of the face value mana fixing, Growth works with Delirium and Revolt, along with things that care about noncreatures, auras, enchantments, sacrifices, or draws. Surprised no one adapted one of the Bloodbriar decks or gave Mill a go.
My problem hasn’t been coming up with bad ideas. It’s been coming up with the motivation to test them that has been causing me issues. Plus I got a friend who pretty much only plays jrpgs and Diablo 3 and I usually try to play thru the season journey and a bit beyond each season as a way to chill with him online so that’s been eating up most of my free time.

Maybe Unbridled Growth could be included as part of a Simic or Temur mill deck? Use it for card draw and/or mana correction. Throw in Nissa, Vital Force. You could maybe make a viable mill deck out of this, though probably not as streamlined as an Izzet mill.

Nah, look at those floppy ears on the floor. That’s a good puppy.
The pic makes me miss my Golden :.(. When he’d be on the floor like that on his back, his mouth would always be open with the tongue hanging out the side. Such a happy dumb dog. Miss him
Cucho is right. The puppers is a lil psycho. We had to get a cabinet with a lock to keep all the kitchen knives in. Someone forgot to put a butter knife away a few days ago and I woke up to find her trying to saw my throat open with it. It was the darned cutest thing.

I came up with 3 idea for this round. The first was to use Sram, Sigil of the Empty Throne, and a lotta auras to generate big CA and spam tokens. I had the fun idea of using defensive auras like Compulsory Rest for control as a way to double down on the enchantment theme. Here's the list:
Some cool synergies include Gift of Paradise not only ramping into Sigil but also triggering Sram AND Lone Rider (value!), Pilgrims fetching the singletons Destiny (power), Conviction (combo), or Bonds (universal answer card), and Aid from the Cowl being able to put ANY CARD in the deck on the table (no nonperms).
Candidate #2 was a Golgari Revolt/Counters list with Snek, Liberator, Narnam, and co. This one is the least interesting conceptually as it is pretty much a straight forward aggro list themed around a subpar mechanic.
Nature's Way might seem like an odd pick but with 7 deathtouch creeps, it is a fairly effective kill spell with benefits.
The last build was also revolt but more jank combo than low curve aggro. I love the synergy between Call for Unity and Ulvenwald Mysteries so I tried to incorporate that combo in an Abzan control/revolt shell. The Unbridled Growths get more mileage here because they help to smooth the demanding Abzan color requirements early and serve as revolt triggers and draw later on. In fact, of all the builds, I think this one gets the best use out of them (tho I still wouldn't consider them "broken" - they just aren't break-worthy cards!).
Yahenni's might seem out of place in a weenie/token swarm build but this deck takes time to set up, and a bunch of the critters in it don't actually mind dying so much (Blisterpod, Primal Druid, and Anointer Priest). Dusk // Dawn should make more sense, especially since the only creeps Dawn doesn't return to hand are the Trackers. Stockpile is a no-brainer here as is Westvale.
So after building all 3 decks and trouncing the AI with them a few times, I decided to submit them to a rigorous single round of testing on the ladder. The Abzan deck went up against a Dimir control build and won but my god was it a slow, grindy game. My opponent wasn't the best and made several misplays, the biggest of which was not ulting Tezz when he had the chance (for much of the early and mid game I was doing my best to keep Tezz out of ult range while setting myself up and he was using every spot removal spell in existence to keep him up and running until he finally managed to reduce me to one attacker vs his stronger defender and got Tezz to 7). Instead he got greedy and plussed (I'm sure it was in part because he had no artifacts out or in hand but still...). I had a token engine online and was able to grind Tezz out shortly after. Rinse and repeat for little Lili and Ob Nix and I finally overwhelmed him. Never drew Call for Unity or it would have gone much much faster.
The Golgari build went up against a mono black aggro build. We both got Glint Sleeves out early. We both had them removed early. We both got Lili out early. I had the better game tho, using a revolt enhanced Renegade and SS to kill his Lili while my Lili fetched Glint-Sleeve back and helped me out draw him. That was far and away the funnest game with lots of interaction and a good pace.
The Sram build went up against Thopters and... never had a chance. Talk about a bad matchup. I had good draws but my tools were not suited to vehicles or thopter swarms. By the time I got Sigil up and running, I was hopelessly outnumbered and not even Gisela could save me from his Whirler Rogue enhanced Smugglers.
So I think I'm gonna just run the stupid Golgari build. I'll post the submissions (all whopping 3 of them) shortly and we can get this travesty of a round over with.

Yeah, I think red has the least cards that have much synergy with auras or revolt. I like your 4c take. That really pushes the value of the base effect on Growth.
