Warped, even. Honestly, I’m not sure where the idea even came from. Actually, I think it's the result of sleep-deprivation induced madness.

The Desert will be interesting. I see four basic options:

A mono colored agro deck

A deck that uses Eldrazi, probably Green/Diamond.

A funky deck that tries to abuse landfall in some way, maybe with some recursion?

Any other deck that you just tack on 4 colorless land

I am guessing Mono will perform the best, but I think I will try a funky landfall deck. Less power perhaps, but it gives interesting options.

I build a Golgari ramp with land fall -inspired on the one I faced during the trials- and it’s 3-0 so far.

Heh, you haven’t heard my twist yet. It should push the emphasis on working with land mechanics - and make sure that all submissions have some degree of suck. I’ll post the next thread shortly.

Haven, just wanted to tell you Warriors Guild is going great. I’m on a 26-0 winning streak right now. Deck is 30-1 overall. I’m going to take a break for a bit but I’ll come backto it

I've never gone 26-0 with any deck. Mana-screw or flood would always get me eventually or just run into opps with god-draws.

Is the xbone meta becoming softer as more players are joining the Arena beta? The Nda is gonna be lifted next week, so expect to see lots of people streaming and posting vids.

Boros is most certainly Barney’s Playground cuz aggro is my thing and Hakeem928 had made a Boros deck in 2015 where I went 42-0 I think

Xbox environment has become totally polarized. It’s all rank 1 or 2 and rank 36 and up. That’s it. Your deck cuts through both with ease. I play the deck purely aggressive and get damage through while losing Hanweir Garrisons without a second thought. MVP is the haste guys who exert to prevent a blocker. They are insane. They don’t get along with the Vehicles at all but who cares. They’re great.

In poker, you often like situations which allow an opponent an opportunity to play incorrectly. Having antes in tournaments, as an example, is great cuz many players don’t adjust their play correctly and I can take advantage. In your elegant build this aspect is captured perfectly by the presence of those one drop guys who give haste. These creatures have proved to be a total nightmare for opponents. I’ve seen them use removal on them ahead of targets like a Garrison. It’s hilarious. They see what I’m doing with it and are terrified about what 4 drop might come into play haste. It’s a thing of beauty

It’s the first deck in a long time where I mulligan correctly. I almost never keep two landers to start cuz I need to hit my first 4-5 land drops badly

I really like that concept, the psychology of the match is a fun topic, in general this is much more common on control builds in my experience but the effect on an Aggro deck is specially interesting.

Yeah the bluff aspect to Magic and stuff like that really makes it interesting sometimes.

I love the bluff is the most fun part of poker for me, in magic you kinda need that kind of cards to really disrupt the game and play accordingly... but this thing has soo many levels that to master just 3 its extremely difficult and requires to know the meta in and out.
What I can remember from something I read long time ago and changed the way I play poker and magic was something like this:

1.Play with what you got
2.Play with what you got and what you think your opponent has
3.Play with what you got, with what you think your opponent has and with what you want your opponent to think that you have
4.Play with what you got; with what you think your opponent has; with what you want your opponent to think that you have and what your opponent wants you to think that he has...
so much bluff!

Yeah that’s called leveling and it’s outdated now. It’s better just to play solid poker, preferably based on some type of Game Theory

Haven, played it a bit more the last couple days. Win streak is now 37-0, it’s nuts. One game I played terribly too and still won against tough opponent. Overall record is 40-1

I really want to break my previous record with Hakeem’s deck but I’m getting too nervous when I play it now. Going to take a break for a day or two at least

Gah! My win streak is over
38-1 after running into Abzan revolt Snek level 38. He got replaced by AI which made me miss a land drop. I made a terrible decision to use Injury on a 2/2 with counters instead of a 3/2 Rallier. He drops Skyship and that’s game. Also I sacrificed Selfless Spirit for no reason instead of blocking. Ugh! Deck is 42-2 overall. I’ll keep it if it wins it’s next âme

Well it’s finally happened. One of my top decks has finally hit two losses in a row so I’m ready to announce the top two decks of all time for Barney in Magic Duels

I’ll announce the runner up here and I knew I was going to be heartbroken with whichever deck lost cuz I love them both. It really should be a tie.

In second place, the runner up, is Havens Warriors Guild Boros deck.! With a final record of 147-11, this deck was the king of the win streaks. In those wins, I hit three separate win streaks of 38-0, 31-0 (this one immediately proceeded the 38-0 streak too!) and finally a 34-0 winstreak before losing two in a row. The final two games were first against GU where I got mana screwed , and then I played against a silent NGA member, Funkopotomus with his great WUB deck in which I mama flooded so couldn’t get any momentum other than 1 drops and pilotless copters.

I built his deck so I’ll try it out but I can’t imagine anything being better than the winning deck of my contest. See another bumped thread for the winner

So my win ratio for Warrior's Guild was 93%, right (over 150 games)? Whereas I believe the final win ratio for The Old Brutal was 88.5% (over 300 games).

Was really hard to declare a winner between the two. They were both awesome. I'll miss playing Warrior's Guild, it was bonkers.

Can't wait to play Arena one day on Console and look forward to your deck building help.
