I've read that everything is going to be wiped after closed beta is done. Does that mean that I should not buy stuff yet?

I've been in for about a week now. A few tips for anyone just joining...

Start with RG dinos or BR Pirates. Generally easy/fast wins. Aggro is the meta.

The grind is really, really bad. I've been playing 9+ matches/day, and I'm still not anywhere close to finishing a deck with all the rares/mythics I'd like. Definitely getting closer, but it's a long grind.

I've tried some esper control decks, which are really difficult to win with, until you get enough of the nut instants/sorceries to clear the board. Too much aggro.

Don't worry about rank.

To get through 9 games asap, since you won't have the cards to generally recover from topdecking lands or recover from a bad board state, just concede immediately and move on.

After a full week of doing this, I'm finally at a point where I have a deck or two that is 'semi' competitive. Still missing many rares and mythics to round it out into a Tier 1 deck, but it's enough to generally pull off some fast wins.

Your right about Control. It really can't be done two successfully right now. If you want to win you run Dinos or Merfolk or do something radically different like you and I are doing by flying.

I got lucky and after playing around 20-30 games I only miss 4 cards in my Dino - 2x Ripjaw Raptor, 1x Regisaur Alpha and 1x Carnage Tyrant. At least for the Ixalan version. I could use those legendary dinos from RIX, they seem beefy.

Only dinosaur that matters is Polyraptor, he is good boi and best boi.

Haven't seen a polyraptor deck go off yet.

Rebuilt my Rb Pirate deck and its been kicking some serious ass, even winning some games it had no business winning (top-decked Cannonade that killed 10+ merfolk was ludicrous).
I think I've hit the sweet spot with that deck.
