Cyborg in Teen Titans Go used the Green Laterns ring to summon up Bea Athur! And Weird Al playing Darkseid in the second part of the same episode! ...Things never are as simple as they appear...

Cyborg is kinda a time capsule in that show... for better or worse.
Mostly worse. (can't freaking believe it's getting a theatrical movie...)
But I'll at least give props to The Night Begins to Shine.

Anyway, back to Gumball, it's legitimately one of the shows I never tire of watching and good GODS they layer in references and the writing is so on point. With surprisingly mature comedy at times.
And the art direction is bloody staggering. I'm just perplexed how it doesn't have more buzz surrounding it.

In unrelated news, I'm continually irritated by my Vraska deck not having any sort of acceptable shape that I want.

Children shows have references like that for the parents that watch with their kids. Also because studios have realized that nerds like animation.

Haven't watched Teen Titans since Slade was kicking it with Trigon. They still do that on the new show?

Dragon Ball Super is ending with the current arc. I can't say I'm surprised. In terms of the villains, only Zamasu and Beerus from the Battle of Gods arc really held up to the villains from Z. Even Majin Buu/Super Buu/Kid Buu were better than most of Super's villains, because they had Goku and co on the backfoot the whole time.

Nah, he was supposed to be Deathstroke the Terminator. Then a certain movie came out and they dropped the "Terminator" bit. I think that was what most people in the comics actually called him.

Where could DragonBall even go after the current arc? How do you up the game after staging a pandimensional deathmatch in the name of the king of all existence? I kind of hope that they end it all with a scene revealing that the 12 universes we know are just one fraction of reality, and there's always a higher level of reality. It would be fitting for a show about surpassing your limits.
Do we know if it was always planned to end here, or if it was ratings-related?

There's a movie coming out in December that's pulling all the animation talent for it. DBS pulls the second highest ratings for Toei, so there's no chance they'd kill that goose.

And where do you go after the tourney?
All those other realities just dumped on us.
Or you merge them into one and deal with the fallout.
Or you flub the wish and bring back all the deleted realities and whatever potential threats exist there.

Should I watch DBS?

I was on TCGPlayer ordering Unstable foils for my cube today... They're all so cheap.
Except Knight of the Kitchen Sink. Which for some reason is like 50 dollars.

I've picked up Monster Hunter World. (ps4)
It really makes me want to cube up a set for it.

Goku and Vegeta take the neglected Z-Fighters on a grand tour of the newly introduced realities, training up Uub and characters like Tien, Krillin, Yamcha, Gohan, Videl, Piccolo. Make SSJ4 and the Shadow Dragon concepts cannon. Maybe some Makaioshin villains to spice things up along the way.
