Spirits
This one was lacking mayor threats coz those spirits just die if anyone happens to sneeze near them, so I end up adding Gideon.
Im not so hot about Tipplegeist coz delirium just has never happened here, the shepherd is as bad as it gets for a 3CMC but I did use his ability more than once.
I end up chopping refletor mage on this one... coz I like I said we had no threats what so ever.
Nebelgast Herald is the MVP by far here.

Thopters /artificers
Just your classic Thopter pile... I add Fireweaver and it has performed, the courier is on trial, the googles have performed quite ok here and they chip in for the final artificers slot.
but it needs tweaks... the curve is expensive I did run 25 lands before coz you NEED badly that 3 land on schedule, I might just end up adding it back... not sure yet.

Tested it on the ladder with the trial tech, but I was unimpressed and felt the deck was way too stacked on the 3-slot, so this is where I'm at atm. I'm at the bare-minimum 18 warrior slots, with some non-warriors to help the overall synergy and beatdown. I guess I could fit an abbey in there, but all those :w::w: casting costs hurt alot.

I had one of those confidence crushing lose streaks this morning. Lost 3 in a row with spirits (mana screw was a factor in all three games tho with no land opening hands twice). Then took wolves out bc I had the win two red/green quest. Five games later I caved and rolled the AI instead. Fog/Ramp crushed me. WW was closer but I blew it with a horrible misplay. Screw. Flood. And another Ramp that was insanely cautious. I had burst potential to do lethal with Waxing Moon and Insult in hand but opp never left me an opening despite having a seemingly rock solid defense league in addition to his heavy weights. He finally pulled my teeth for good with a Languish.

Those Thopters/dwarves/warriors lists all look scary as hell. I like the cut of the constructs, the three slot looks a little crowded at first glance and I'm not sure abbey fits (probably a hold-over when there were more tokens involved?), but it may play fine with the cost reduction on inspector. I've never been able to get topplegeist to work in a spirits list either - maybe with a splash of red or black?

Any/either way, I'm pretty pumped to start churning through the lists here. I've mostly been tinkering/tuning up to this point, but I'm really looking forward to a lot of the lists that've been posted.

edit: I think that's just going to happen with a lot of these lists Flaky, just nature of the contest a lot of them play a bit like an 80-90% version of a more streamlined list. My list is definitely a bit of a dog to other ramp lists (which is probably a bad omen) - they just get where they're going faster and it's generally bigger and badder -I'm just thrashing them on theme though! - plays well enough versus most of the other types seems like, and maybe even favored against some of the mid-rangier things like zombies/tokens.

I've never been happy with Solemn Recruit's performance; I think they're too slow for what they do and you'd be happier here with the third Crasher and one of your Warrior 1 drops instead (probably Cartouche). Plus double white on a 3 drop is always nice to avoid.

And it's weird to say it, but I'm also thinking either Trial of Solidarity, Insult or Thalia would do better for you than Always Watching. AW is better if you have it T3 after a T2 Initiate, but otherwise you want to spend the first 3-4 turns getting as many creatures as possible and applying pressure, then 4-6 dropping finishing bombs to close it out. AW is more mid-range or long game value, but you want to avoid that.

I build the Boros soldiers... its kinda of a dumb beat down... just nothing to fancy, I took Nomad advice and put Insult over AW, and it was great, the late removal is always useful.

Step 4 is better left to Crew and Essence Flux, as Skysovreign is legendary and you'd lose one of the ships.

You hardly have any 2 drops, so I guess that's why your going with 25 Land... I'd feel inclined to play Fireweaver, but its not a tribal card for thopters... Also, I'd probably cut a Vial for a singleton throne, between thopter attacks and crewing Vehicles, I can see it doing some work. Probably help in a stale-mate situational. Maybe add an Inventor's fair, the lifegain and tutor may save your neck...

Yeah, but we aren't exactly going for reasonable there. Plus he's only running 2 essence Flux in the deck. If you have a Thopter Engineer you could do the attack with the original, but the clone never ETBs unless you choose to keep it, right?

Aggro Wolves with a side of lifegain. Wish the Heirloom counted toward my tribal quota. I don't know if one of the Shrill Howlers should be a Sage of Ancient Lore? Prepare and Blessed Alliance can each get a couple tokens out of Partisan, except I seem to be totally incapable of drawing them at the same time. WOLFcopter cause flying and more lifegain for the riders.

@Haven yes the curve is very high, I guess I can give it a try on the Fireweavers and see if they are useful but the Mavericks and the Rebuke make great use of the Vials, beside the vials kinda make the deck more compact. IDK I will test the Fireweavers and report and see how that goes.

So far this build has a 9-1 record and it bought my ticket back to the top of the ladder... I went up down to 25 this time.
so expect to loose ranks everyone xD

I like the Throne idea too. Aether Swoopers are also great at 2, they can produce an artifact for you and pair with Harnessed Lightning. I think they probably fit better that Fireweaver.

Notes:

Mostly straightforward, but be real choosy if you don't see a clear line to 3 land and at least one green source in the opening hand. You're in for a real bad time if you get hung up there but there's enough flex/fixing/untap that it *tends* to work out beyond there.

Obviously fetch/fix to your hand (remember you'll need an extra blue or Kiora to power your man-land), but in the absence of a clear line I'd recommend G1->R1->U1->G2->R2->R3.

Last cuts: For elementals I probably went back and forth between Terrain Elemental #4 and Gaea's Revenge#2 about twelve times. I made a spreadsheet of all the lists in the Gx Ramp thread and looked at their curves along with total mana acceleration to compare against what I had here, worked out the distribution on hands, played about 20 games with a marker card in there...anecdotally, it really seems like it should've been terrain elemental since early is where the list has the most trouble, but all the analysis agreed Revenge. Sorry if you end up smoked with a Revenge sitting in hand.

@Nomad & @Haven T2 Throne it’s devastating on this deck, what a great suggestion that 2cmc is doing huges amounts of damage. In the end I went 2 Thrones and 2 Vials :D
