I would have call that white creature that fetch an aura but I think it’s Wintervoid call.

Which one? I am fine if you pick Cucho. I don't have any great ideas. I have more fun building then coming up with cards. Besides, Cucho's deck I think is a bit more consistent.

And thanks Flakey for running this.

As far as the deck, I agree that Flux would work better...in most cases. Long road on a Displacer in reaction to Languish has been good. The other use is EOT on a creature of theirs. It will stay on the long road until your EOT. Overall though, yeah, Flux is better.

All fixed, I think. Fun fact: I put the full panel of scores in the final tally post for exactly this reason. Ppl can tell at a glance if I mistranscribed their scores and call me on it.

@Wintervoid: I agree that Cucho’s was more consistent but I just want to point out that this is a creative contest, not a tournament. I am happier when judges factor in multiple aspects like card breakage and fun factor rather than just raw effectiveness in their assessments. That said, I’m fine with you punting the choice to Cucho if you don’t want to pick.

I think Cucho said something about Heliod’s Pilgrim? Is that truly the card you want? I’m willing to flex on the contest parameters, btw. As long as it’s build around and sufficiently open ended, you could expand a bit and do something like a pair of cards that have interesting interactions or an open group like one of the set color cycles.

I´m so no engaging in this "you hang up" situation so if Wintervoid doesn't come up with something else -coz he won- I´m calling this one, Flaky If its ok with you I call Janky tribals that meaning NO VAMPIRES and NO ZOMBIES, that leaves: Spirits, Humans, Wizards, Elves, Angels, Warewolfs and of course Allies -you should have seen today´s CGB streaming we made him play 5C Allies, hilarious- with a minimum of 16 cards that says the selected tribe name, If that´s not janky enough Heliod’s Pilgrim is waiting for some horrible auras decks, I think LegenVD build one with Mechanized production FTW... chew on that one Barney :P

Congrats Wintervoid I loved your build but it suffered the same flaw that my bant pile... LRH was just worse than Essence Flux.

I’m with Nomad. Humans are plenty good. Spirits are not too weak either. But I’m down with it. So, what, exactly would the parameters be? No creeps that are not in the tribe? At least x tribal cards? Would cards that reference a tribe but not have the tribal subtype cout? (Essence Flux for Spirits for example). Take a little time to structure this and lemme know. I’ll post new thread tomorrow.

Any card that reference the tribal subtype count, minimum 18 cards with tribal subtype on it and GW humans are Banned.
I guess that should be enough.

I veto the GW rule for simplicity. Either humans are in or out (otherwise could just splash a third color like red for Garrison and a little burn). Otherwise, looks good, tho just to be clear, creeps that aren’t part of the tribe are ok, so long as the deck has 18 tribal cards?

And so I'm clear....it's any tribal (that isn't banned), not just the listed ones? I mean...lets say hypothetically someone found 18 "fungus" cards and could make them a workable deck? still counts yeah?

Build a tribal deck.
Deck must contain at least 18 cards that either belong to the tribe or reference it in the rules text.
Non tribal creatures are permitted.
Good tribes need not apply: Zombies, Vampires, and Humans are banned as the tribal type.
