@Luna: nice duel; the alternating sections are a bit weird at first, but they definitely work in the long run. Thank you for sharing!

Here are a few random gauntlets for anyone to pick up:

Pre-retirement, Jackie observes from a distance one person leading another out into the Waste at gunpoint. What does she do?

Gale observes (or has to participate in) a fellow sailor taking severe punishment (walking the plank, running the gauntlet, etc.).

One of our planeswalkers counts to ten...for some reason.

Write a story based on Twigwalker.

In a busy tavern, someone asks Orida Vise what's wrong with her eyes.

One of our planeswalkers counts to ten...for some reason.

Gruff swung his stick with a mighty crash, cracking open the rotted log and sending a mob of beetles skittering out into the light, drool running down his bottom lip as he eagerly stomped on the squishy treasures before they finally escaped into the safety of the underbrush. He plopped his furry butt on the ground, scratching a malodorous portion of his anatomy happily while pushing his juicy trophies into a small pile before him with a smile.

Setting aside his trusty stick, never completely taking an eye off it mind you, he began to examine the tasty collection of hard won treats. Wringing his hands together, he intently stared at them, hunger insistently prodding him to skip the examination and dive right in, but his gobmother hadn't raised him so poorly.

"Alright, now lessee... one... umm..."

His smile slowly fell as he licked his teeth, an intense look of concentration weighing his brow down.

"One... ooooone..." He muttered, somewhat fearful as he tried to recall the number, frustration clearly starting to eat at him.

"One!..." he exclaimed, hoping enthusiasm would make up for his poor memory, but sadly, such was not the case. He scratched his chin thoughtfully and his concentration was broken by the sudden and titanic roar of his stomach.

"One... Ten!" He nodded, satisfied, and begun shoveling the gooey innards and crunchy shells into his open gob.

UGH. I want to write, like, at least 3 out of 5 of these. CURSE YOU, RAVEN! :)

Hah! Love it! :D

Springboarding off an idea from another thread, someone write a story where Alessa Rehn and Denner Fabellian have a night out at a carnival, perhaps playing some games of "chance." Either of them playing three-card Monte comes to mind...

All I'm saying, this doesn't end well for Denner.
It may end AWESOME, but not well.

Oh, I think we all know that.

But then again, what ever ends well for Denner?

I have a few gauntlets to throw that I would like to see, but just don't have the time to write right now:

What happens when a Jakkard kid runs away... from Red's Ranch?

An M:EM character has a conversation with an M:EMber.

Gale and Daneera finally meet.

Beryl and Aloise get into an argument/fight with each other.

A section of Moira's adventures in her brief time away from Aliavelli.

That's the entrance of a deep and twisted rabbit-hole, you know that? :D

An M:EM character has a conversation with an M:EMber.

Technically this has already happened...

I honestly have thought of revisiting that world, though, as kind of an update to the inhabitants' stories, and how well we seem to be getting on here. I do still need to touch up the story I did when Sula sank.

Also, I just remembered that this happened more directly once.

So, I actually want to flip the script on this: instead of throwing down gauntlets of my own, I want you all to throw some gauntlets directly at my noggin!

What would you all like to read, here in 2018?

A few stipulations:

1. No pre-existing M:EM characters!
2. No pre-existing M:EM settings!

What's something that doesn't exist yet, but should?

~Raven digs into his HOPPER-O-IDEAS~

1. A fantasy world that has a concept of "sports" similar to ours, and a "sports star" from that world
2. An Ape 'walker from a society of intelligent, talking apes a la Gorilla Shaman
3. A dolphin planeswimmer (who may or may not one day meet up with Ethal...)
4. A plane based on the ancient-world concept of the importance of Hospitality
5. A planeswalker who has no control over their planeswalking (not that they can't 'walk, but rather they 'walk seemingly at random with little to no control over where they 'walk)
6. An artist. While I'm sure we have several 'walkers who are likely pretty good with visual art, I do not believe we have any for whom art is their defining drive.

...hell, I actually had a few ideas in the pocket not too long ago, but they've been moved into my standby programs.
Um, lemme get back to you.
