Hey, if there's a gwent thread in the Duels forum, why not have a elder scrolls legends thread? I know a couple of NGAers that are playing so anyone else here trying it out?

I just like that there's no mana-screw.
The grind is kind of steep though.

WTF is Elder Scrolls: Legends?

Digital Ccg based on elder scrolls.

Its basically a mtg rip-off, but has some interesting mechanics. You don't have lands, instead you have magicka that increases incrementally every turn until it hits a cap.
You have creatures, actions (sorceries), supports (enchantments) and item (auras).
Creatures have various keywords like lethal (deathtouch), breakthrough (trample), guard (Must be attackers first), ward (prevents damage), drain (lifelink) and ETB and on-death effects.
Instead of colors it has 5 themes strength(red)/endurance(yellow)/(purple)/(blue)/(Green) ( I forget the names...)
Decks can be mono or any combination of 2 of these. 50 card minimum and a max of 70 cards I think. You can have a maximum playset of 3 cards, with some unique cards that you can only have 1. Rarity is Common (grey), rare (blue), Mythic? (purple) and legendary (yellow/orange).
Other difference is that you attack creatures directly or opponent. You have 2 separate lanes where you summon your creatures.
You start with 30 life and 5 runes that give you a card when you take 5 damage. Those cards can be played for free if they have the prophecy keywords (closest to instants you get).
That about sums it up. Its actually well designed and is fun. No mana-screw is nice.

It looks superior to Hearthstone but I never got around to trying it, mainly because Gwent is so good.

Never tried hearthstone or gwent, so I can't really offer any comparison, but I enjoy playing legends. I don't really like the cartoony artwork of warcraft, so in that aspect gwent or legends is more my style.
In terms of strategic depth, it has quite a bit going on. The developers have been active in balancing the game and even without a full collection you can build interesting and playable decks.

I added you to ESL haven. Sorry I didn't know that was you if it was a nga name I would have recognized it. I mainly play blue/green (assassin), blue/yellow (mage), blue/purple (sorcerer) control variants. Good to see another nga member in a diff card game I am just using it to kill time until I get a beta invite to Magic Arena.

Same here, I'm mostly playing a red/yellow crusader aggro deck, but I've got a soft spot for red/purple Warrior orc tribal.

What can I say? I'm a red mage with a thing for aggro decks...

Still got a sh@tload of cards to unlock though...

Been playing this too. Name on there is Mortivore666. Also playing red aggro crusader because it stomps all over everything. Little disappointed the new expansion is so low powered though
