This is a very nice talking piece. The characters have a few similarities, which gives them a reason to connect, but are different enough in their approaches to provide a sort of unspoken conflict. It's a good showcase of the characters and Orchish's talent as a writer. In addition, voting this in also by rule votes in OrcishLibrarian as a M:EMber, so I see no downside.

I vote(d) Yea.

I'm printing this out now, in case I need to rely on it later in court.

Any poster that has a work in the archive is considered a full M:EMber and has the ability to both vote in and create voting threads for different works and initiatives.

Thus, if your story is voted in, you become a voting M:EMber.

I was more referring to the "I see no downside" part.

I was going to vote from my phone, but I couldn't get the rotary dial to cooperate.

It was very nice. At some parts, I feel it was leaning a little toward the purple (being overly descriptive and poetic), but there's nothing I felt would benefit being changed. Now I need to get to reading Beryl's origin story.

In other words, yea from I.

I for one enjoy prose more on the purple side than beige.

Yea from me.
