Next Grixvolutions Vs White Wennies They sweep the floor with us... T2 copter T3 Glory-Bound Initiate T4 Thalia T5 Declare in stone our lonely fireweaver and we have no other pilots for our harvester I made a mistake and drop a Map before I cracked the clue -which gives us a Bomat- but they Drop Always watching and I think it would have not matter anyway
Spoiler
Full Metal Jacket next Vs R 38 Bant control T2 Scrapy T2 Baby Jace and T3 Gideon... but they made the emblem instead of preventing damage... so I fatal push Jace and Kill Gideon with Scrapy and cast a Ballista... from there we got vials, copters, chiefs, demon, Ob and Lily... they drop a Thalia but the demon eats their hand... on the last turn they cast a Nissa and recover Gid but they are absolutely doomed. Nomad, to cheer you up, I finally ended a 22-0 win streak with Life Cums at you Fast! I’m now 23-1 with that deck, it’s a monster. Lost to mono white humans. Couldn’t draw into removal against a flipped 7/7 lone rider

It’s a total blast to play. Today I got t2 lone rider, t3 trial and flip, t4 trial and cartouche, t5 trial and who cares cuz I have tons of life and the guy is pretty much dead

Haven im using Bloodsuckers Inc to help with this weeks community challenge quest, win a game with at least seven cards in the graveyard. I figured with all the discard outlets I’d get seven cards in the yard fast, but the problem is the opponent dies before it happens:(

Some sort of delirium deck would probably be better for that particular quest.
Ok round 3 is up Prowess thopters vs r40 izzet mill We kept a slow hand with 2 lands but with abbot I thought we could get the 3 land on schedule... we didn't and we could not get the 4 land in time then we eat some removal as they casted Jace oath and 3 take inventory We lose
Spoiler
Full metal janket Vs r38 grixis reanimator T1 map T2 vial T3 esperzoa that gets removed then we touched the vial and he reanimates the white gearhulk so he's got a 6/7 vigilance attaking us, we dropped maps and cast a demon that eats his hand he responded with Emerat and locks ours ballista in hand we attack with the demon he blocks and we -2/-2 his emerat sacking a map -most people forget that the demon has that ability- then we cast EC and cracked the fair to get -the chief because I wanted to finish him of in the air- big mistake we ate remival but we cast a couple of vials preventing his gearhulk from attacking and slowly work our victory in the air. Win
Spoiler
Pics will be uploaded later It s kinda BS that I won my on trials with an unimpressive 3/0 but it is what it is. I liked this testing style I wished it could had ended with a higher streak for the winner.
Oh Flaky, your deck reminds me of the Greek football squad at the 2004 Euros. You know, the ones who won the whole thing, where their only strategy was to stick the entire team in their own goal box the whole match so scoring against them was nearly physically impossible, and they'd hope for a lucky counter attack or just a scoreless tie resolved on penalty kicks? The ones the Guardian called "the only underdogs in history that everyone wants to see get beaten"? Except here they've stumbled into an American football match and they're playing the Giants. So hey, they might still win one once in a while cause it's the Giants, but things are mostly very woeful for them. 2-5.
1. Lose vs Mono Black. Skygate gets pushed, Bone Picker and a Harvester fly right over my aggregates. 2. Lose vs Jund Ramp. Skygates and Harvesters sit around not talking to each other while their Glorybringer flies around. 3. Lose vs Grixis control. Sweepers, big Jace, Flamecaller. My Construction and Grid make it... take longer, I guess. 4. Lose vs Red burn. I'm gonna guess thermo-alchemist as a first play against this deck is a bad sign. Following it with T4 Chandra definitely is. I sit around with a useless Drifter and useless enchantments getting burned to death. 5. Win vs temur energy. Somehow I win this? Opp makes really terrible decisions, like making thopters instead of saving energy for hydra while I have a grid on the board, so that helps. I hang on at 3 life and slowly build into double EC, grid, Journal. Thank goodness Rhonas can't give himself trample. 6. Lose vs Orzhov Zombies. Stop taking mulligans at 5, with one island and a Dockhand. That's all I ever get, and the zombies run me over. 7. Win vs bad dimir zombies. on the play, drifter/Aggregate/construction in hand, let's see if we can pull this off. Opp has zombies and titi? And skyline cascade? And doesn't know how to use a Cryptbreaker? Why not, this may be a fitting matchup. Also compelling deterrence, which is pretty annoying against tokens at least. Manage to whirl up a journal, which eventually fetches me a grid. They haven't even got any lords, so pinging away the pointy bits of their board while the walls keep the zombie tokens away is easy.

Versus 1 - Victory! Got my Efficient Obstruction out early, against a superfriends deck and that was pretty much it. I just had to be patient and get rid of his meddling planeswalkers and their darned dog, then it was smooth sailing. Finishing rank 28. Versus 2 - Victory! It sure is fun when your opponent thinks that you’re going to lose, then he swings in with his 8/8 flying It Rides As One, only to run smack into a surprise Ormendahl. Finishing rank 29. Versus 3 - Loser! Trying to outrace a different dimir deck with some effective removal, plus a nice combo of Saheeli’s Artistry on his Possessed Skaab and my Skysovereign, netting his Saheeli’s back from the GY. Finishing rank 28. Versus 4 - Loser! Kinda stuck without enough mana, and not drawing the best cards left me defenceless against some blue and black zombies. Versus 5 - Loser! Kinda stuck without enough mana, and not drawing the best cards left me defenceless against some blue and red burn nonsense.
At 2 out of 5, I’m just not feeling it, Haven_PrimalTerrier.
It looks like my final vote is for Prowess Thopters and whichevr jerk came up with that deck, since it’s the one that most consistently lead me to sweet, sweaty victory.
Barnabas Noir, what is your final say, and do we disagree? If we do, then it’s going to be some kind of lightning round, or something. Makes you think there should be some kind of procedure for this stuff.
I’m not gonna break any ties but I will offer these profound words of wisdom. <crinkle crinkle crack> *ahem* “You will be very hungry soon. Best order carry out now.” Jeez who writes these things? <crunch crunch>
Well... If that’s not very helpful then I would remind the judges that this is a “break the card” contest. The way I see it, in order for a card to be considered broken, it must be an important part of an effective deck that is used in a way that amplifies the actual effect of the card. I’d break it down into the following three questions: 1. How effective is the deck? Both judges have already done that in their own way by playtesting each of the builds. 2. How important is the contest card to the deck? Could it easily be replaced by something else that performs as well or better? I suspect that there will be an inverse relationship between the effectiveness and the reliance on the contest cards (given how weak those cards are) but the builds that most successfully break the cards should in theory score well in both categories. 3. (Optional) Does the deck amplify the abilities of the contest card? This is hard to qualify but some examples would be Haven’s use of lots of self sacking artis to trigger Requisitioner and cards like Fireweaver to get extra value out of the servo tokens, or Nomad’s inclusion of Start Your Engines to give those little thopter swarms some real punch.
Finally, if all else fails, you could always vote for the contestant with the cutest golden retriever in their avatar.

You know what would be awesome? Soup vs Barney in a play-off final with their favourite decks... But alas, cross-platform was always way Beyond poor stainless' capabilities.
Ok, so flaky wins then? (cutest golden retriever and all...) So what cards for round 3? I didn't get the Arena invite, so I might as well brew some more jank...
