Stress tests with limited available playtime starting from November 3rd, until the servers will be made available 24/7 from the 30th of November, if everything goes well.

Invites will contain the standalone client's download link.

Specific Forums geared to acquire feedback will be available to all Closed Beta participants.
Closed Beta's early focus will be on Ranked Queue (No private lobbies) Matchmaking stress test with preconstructed decks.
Video ban enforced through NDA, but to be lifted as early as possible on new Year.

Multiplayer Matches enabled with Single Elimination (best of 1) Ixalan Constructed, adding Best of 3 and draft later on.
Plenty of starting cards to begin deckbuilding! Ixalan only at first, but new sets will be added for a full Standard Roster during Closed Beta!
Microtransactions will be implemented during the Closed Beta.


A full wipe is already planned for the closed beta. Purchased In-game currency will be refunded.

Did not get in the first wave

I got in, it's a rather awkward time for me over here in Europe though 3am to 9am, with waves of invites for the invite going out at 3am, 4am, 5am.

Which would mean that I might have to wait for 5am to play, and then try to get as much play in before 9am as possible.

Yeah the time is too absurd for the 3rd so no point in me getting in anyway.

Something they said on the stream is that it's NA only servers at the minute so to be honest it's probably a blessing in disguise from any EU/SEA ect people who didn't get in.

..at least that's what I'm telling myself.

I'd hope the Stress Test client to be around 500 - 800 MB, and the full release up to 2 Gb for starters.

This game looks terrible and the cartoon art style is ripped straight from Hearthstone.

I think I can get used to the hearthstoney style, although there is somethings I would change like the walkers, lands ect ect , however I don't know why they decided to go down this route rather then stick with a more Magic like style - it's not like Magic is a small game, they don't have to copy Hearthstone to be successful, a unique style would probably work just as well, if not better

I hate the visual style too, but I like that they treat this as a digital game that doesn't have to follow paper to the letter. This opens some possibilities for casual games that are not possible with paper. Like I'm convinced there needs to be some warning of the lack of land in the first several draws plus hand. I really hope we get a free mulligan too, nobody ever complained about that feature in Duels.

Nighthawk, I’m sad to say I’ve been forced to retire your Temur Emerge deck. It’s been a blast though. My overall record is 40-12. Fun deck
