So how many decks do we have in a ready state for the contest?

Don't worry soup, I've been posting a bunch of lists because I haven't had access to a computer to test them, so I've just been happily theorycrafting away like there's no tomorrow.
None of my lists are submission-worthy yet. Just wanted to put a list together that is significantly different to the other submissions.
Reworked the esper deck and I ditched the Requisitioners for the Constructions:

Serve the Servos 2.0

Creature(14)
2 x Walking Ballista
4 x Annointer Priest
3 x Chief of the Foundry
3 x Weaponcraft Enthusiast
1 x Oketra the True
1 x Angel of Invention

Instant(2)
2 x Anguished Unmaking

Sorcery(4)
1 x Sram's Expertise
2 x Yahenni's Expertise
1 x Planar Outburst

Enchantment(8)
3 x Hidden Stockpile
2 x Anointed Procession
3 x Efficient Construction

Planeswalker(4)
1 x Liliana, the Last Hope
1 x Gideon, Ally of Zendikar
1 x Tezzeret the Schemer
1 x Liliana, Death's Majesty

Artifact(5)
2 x Renegade Map
1 x Heart of Kiran
2 x Aethersphere Harvester

Land(23)
2 x Shambling Vent
1 x Prairie Stream
4 x Plains
2 x Sunken Hollow
2 x Island
4 x Swamp
2 x Drowned Catacomb
2 x Glacial Fortress
2 x Isolated Chapel
2 x Westvale Abbey

Game-plan is to stall early, sweep and rebuild faster than your opponent. Efficient Construction makes pilots for Vehicles and should get out of control with Anointed Procession. PWs are win-cons by themselves. Only thing I think the deck is lacking is card draw. Maybe I can work in a Journal, which should work well with the Procession and Maybe Ob nix or Jace too...
I do think I should have some pushes for early copters too, but space is scarce.

Think I'll try Jeskai next.

That build looks powerful, I have been testing sweepers also but often enough they become dead cards, I can see the logic, coz this cards are super slow and other token decks or a close to the ground aggro can easily overwhelm you.
The sinergy between efficient construction and anointed procession, is not that good IMO, one triggers when tokens are generated, while the other triggers when you cast artifacts, those a quite different strategies.
On the other hand my build is getting darker and darker and also getting heavy on the removal.
I still don't decide if I still want spy network on the deck... 5x 4cmc enchantments that doesn't immediately affect the board makes this deck slower and slower... I will take Tezzeret touch for a spin before the final submission.

Thopter Spy Network should only be played if it draws you a card THAT turn, otherwise there are better things to do with your mana.

i love me some Tezzeret Touch. I have a blast putting that on Copter, Heart, Skyship, Key to the City or Walking Ballista. All fun targets.

Serve the Servos was a flop. Got crushed on the ladder and the efficient Constructions are just dead weight. These are some really tough cards to break...

My most successful deck is the aggro one. Actually went 3-0 on the ladder, beating vamps and 2 boros aggro decks. (Spatial Contortion and Tezzeret's Touch being the Mvp-allstars)

The list has changed a bit and is basically an Artifact vehicle deck, with the efficient Constructions being pilot generating if games go long. Not exactly breaking the card but making it about as useful as it gets, and with the high Artifact density, it can get plenty of triggers.

Not gonna spend my life being a color 1.1

Creature(19)
2 x Walking Ballista
2 x Merchant's Dockhand
3 x Runed Servitor
2 x Scrapheap Scrounger
3 x Foundry Inspector
3 x Chief of the Foundry
1 x Scrap Trawler
1 x Padeem, Consul of Innovation
2 x Reality Smasher

Instant(4)
1 x Fatal Push
3 x Spatial Contortion

Enchantment(6)
3 x Tezzeret's Touch
3 x Efficient Construction

Planeswalker(1)
1 x Tezzeret the Schemer

Artifact(9)
2 x Smuggler's Copter
2 x Aethersphere Harvester
2 x Cultivator's Caravan
2 x Fleetwheel Cruiser
1 x Skysovereign, Consul Flagship

Land(21)
2 x Sunken Hollow
4 x Island
4 x Swamp
2 x Drowned Catacomb
3 x Foundry of the Consuls
2 x Inventors' Fair
2 x Evolving Wilds
2 x Westvale Abbey

Mana base is the main problem atm.

lol, i love what a sore thumb the build-around cards are in these decks. You look at Haven's list and outside of this contest any sane-minded person would be all, "...ok... ok...looks good.... wait a minute. Efficient Construction!?"

Haven, I think you should try ditching the Dockhands for Bomat Couriers, a Servitor or Caravan for another Scrap Trawler (both are fantastic targets for a Touch) and Evolving Wilds and a Foundry of the Consuls for Aether Hubs. If you're using the Dockhand's ability in that deck something's gone very wrong.

Yeah, I agree but Dockhand have been ok (I haven't used the ability yet), but lack of red mana kept me from playing Bomats and adding red will make it even jankier... Playing them without red, just for the haste, while they're exiling my cards doesn't seem like a great idea. Dockhand's stats are about as good as you get for a 1-drop Artifact creature and who knows, the ability may come in useful sometimes (serve the Servos lost to a mono-blue Artifact deck who beat me because of them when we were both in top-decking mode).
I had hubs, but with only the harvesters using energy they screwed me at least once against the AI, so I ditched them (I thought of adding pummelers and multiform wonders, but reality smasher are so much better and we get few opportunities to play them).
Trawlers haven't been that great, because they're a 3-drop and they don't get back your other 3-drops when they die (which they do quite often).
Caravans didn't actually show up in any of my test games, so I'm not sold on them, but they do help with the mana issues.

I bet opponents go "what the f@ck, why is this guy playing that crap?" when we play these cards. I swear that you could swap thopter Sky Network and any other card for the efficient Constructions and these deck would become a lot better, just like that...

LOL, That´s pretty much what I think when I drop that piece of crap on the board...

I´m felling pretty ok with this build
I may swap a few thing before the end but the core is there

I'm happy with both of mine. Flaky, can I submit both and you can choose which to use based on which duplicates other decks the least?

Both of your builds look fun and interesting to me. I’d have a hard time picking one but I guess I could try.

I modified my build a little. I felt like it was too dependent on the opponent to destroy my arti creeps to trigger anything so I took out the Filigrees and Treasure Seekers and Evolution and Mindbender and added the cheap, self-sacking Implement of Improvement and Trawlers (Trawler + Ballista is too good). Then I rounded out the +1/+1 counters aspect with Sneks and a Verdant Gearhulk. I tried it on the ladder and actually won the first game vs Jund energy... after my opp got replaced by AI.

Haven, did you try Rakvolutions? That one also looked like fun.

Huh. Double post.

I’m surprised we haven’t seen any Izzet experiments yet.

Hahaha! I wonder if people actually lurk these threads and build all this crap we spew out.

Flaky, you're in luck, I already had an izzet vehicular prowess deck that made for quick and easy adaptation. Now with less pumping, more pinging:

Creatures: 18
2 x Bomat Courier
2 x Abbot of Keral Keep
4 x Reckless Fireweaver
3 x Stormchaser Mage
3 x Esperzoa
3 x Thopter Engineer
1 x Jori En, Ruin Diver

Spells: 20
1 x Heart of Kiran
2 x Smuggler's Copter
1 x Throne of the God-Pharaoh
2 x Alchemist's Vial
2 x Aethersphere Harvester
2 x Fevered Visions
1 x Saheeli Rai
2 x Fleetwheel Cruiser
3 x Efficient Construction
2 x Start Your Engines
1 x Chandra, Torch of Defiance
1 x Skysovereign, Consul Flagship

Lands: 22
6 x Island
9 x Mountain
2 x Wandering Fumarole
1 x Westvale Abbey
2 x Sulfur Falls
1 x Inventors' Fair
1 x Aether Hub

Funny you should say that, because the vamps deck I faced was actually playing Hazoret's Monument... Suspicious... Lol. Wasn't an exact copy of any of the submitted decks, but that Monument makes you think...
I also half expected the mono-blue Artifact deck to pop out an efficient Construction, but he played thopter Sky Network instead and I'm thinking "cheater"...
These contests are about the most interesting thing going on with Duels atm and the only life still left in these forums, so I wouldn't be surprised if we had some anonymous admirers.
That said, I think WotC should actually sanction some of these contests on Arena, wouldn't that be cool?

Artefacts trigger prowers! pretty outside the box thinking, nice!
I finally ditch those battle at the bridge... -what was I thinking- And I went for the sheer power swap... Ob and Lily... and of course that went better... they buy you time and they absolutely affect the board with a big sign that says KILL ME!!!!
----
I´m now at the low 30´.. where the deck can actually survive... maybe Barney can pilot this better or maybe he crushes it on the spot either way I´m done with this efficient construction crap! xD

Whoever wins this round please... please... please pick a decent card. I would suggest that the judges could come up with something but Barney would throw us those horrible negative counters again and I just want to build something that can actually go all the way to the top of the ladder.

PS: Soup... you are so gonna loose rank with this jank buddy please make the meanest comments as a retribution, I did try to make a good deck for you ;)

Flaky this is my submission

Funny thing is I think that prowess one may actually be better than my original version. Plus it gets Efficient Construction to actually do something when cast! Shoot, now I'm really torn. Gonna have to test more.

Man, Saheeli is such a weapon with a Fireweaver in play. Add a Throne or Construction and things get ridiculous in a hurry.

Fireweavers are some of my favourite little guys.

One of my favourite combos back in the day was Reckless Fireweaver + Erdwahl Illuminator + Tireless Tracker. Put down a land, generate some tokens, do some damage. I once managed to get a combo of 1 Tracker, 2 Illuminators, and 3 Fireweavers, then I dropped an Evolving Wilds. Good times. Good times.

Once I see Flaky’s official post with all submitted entries, I shall begin to construct my decks, shaking my head and cursing the whole time.

I'm still playing a Reckless Fireweaver deck from a past deck-building contest (one of Joker's contests). It's pretty inconsistent but it's hung in there and can get wins out of absolutely nowhere. Fun to play too.

Don't worry. You're gonna LOVE the next two!! *cackles maniacally*
J/K. If I somehow win this round, I have a really fun pair of rare cards in mind that go together like chocolate and... anything. And they are both artifacts so there should be lots of opportunity for experimentation.

After playing a bit with both cards I've come to the following conclusions:
1. They both suck. No surprise there but it has to be the first thing said about them.
2. They each have relative pros and cons:
Sly Requisitioner is much easier to play by turn 3. But it is easier to remove, harder to trigger, and the vanilla 1/1 tokens it makes are about as lame as it gets.
Efficient Construction is easier to trigger and makes slightly less crappy 1/1 tokens that fly. And it is harder to remove. But being a 4-drop that wants you to constantly play more artifacts is awful. It encourages you to play lots of cheap artifacts but comes down so late that you are dead before you can get value out of it. And it is still ultimately just a gnat factory.

Because of their differences, I think they require very different approaches to get value out of them. Requisitioner needs to sacrifice stuff to trigger it and the tokens it makes are pretty much useless, so it makes sense to build it in a way that wants to sac the tokens too, using them as extra ammo for some sort of arti-sacking engine. Construction is a bit wider open. It can be built in a traditional token/anthem style build (prolly in Azo for the Thunderclap Wyverns and Trinketeers and such) but it feels like such an inefficient token engine compared to a regular Izzet thopters build. I've seen a few other ideas in this thread that I really liked, tho. The Esperzoa factory idea is really cool (but I happen to hate Esperzoa with a passion because every time I run it, I'll inevitably get stuck with all 3 of them and no other artifacts). Some other cards I've seen people tinker with are Sigil of Valor and Throne of the God-Pharaoh. This is where I'm leaning. What about using those cards, along with Ghirapur Aether Grid? And then throw in a ton of cheap stall and draw cards to keep you alive while trying to build the combo?

Something like:
:u:
3 * Tide Drifter // another stolen idea!
2 * Whir of Invention
3 * Efficient Construction
3 * Reverse Engineer

:r:
3 * Vile Aggregate // this could be huge with Sigil!
3 * Ghirapur Aether Grid

:ur:
2 * Fevered Visions
1 * Saheeli Rai

:x:
2 * Walking Ballista
2 * Merchant's Dockhand // 1-drop with an awesome ability for this build.
2 * Universal Solvent // 1-drop that might have some late game relevance.
4 * Renegade Map

4 * Consulate Skygate
2 * Sigil of Valor // this lets us hold back out tokens and walls and still attack hard. Good on a flyer but potentially devastating on the Aggregate.
2 * Throne of the God-Pharaoh // Combos with Grid.
2 * Aethersphere Harvester // perfect defense card.

Land
2 * Wandering Fumarole
2 * Sulfur Falls
1 * Westvale Abbey // another potential use for those tokens
1 * Inventors' Fair
13 * Island
1 * Mountain

Saheeli and 2nd Throne could be something else like Tamiyo's Journal and maybe a Trawler or something. The idea is to clog the board with cheap and sturdy blockers until you get Grid/Sigil and a good mass of tokens. Then either start pinging with Grid (doubling down with Throne) or swinging with one big thopter at a time.
