I bought $113 worth of old Dragon magazines today for $2 a piece. I guess that makes $113 the after tax price. I have stuff starting from the late 200's up to and include the very last issue. I don't own each issue in that span though. Any suggestions as to what I should dive into first?

I really only read a few Dragon magazines from the 2nd Ed era, and pretty much everything from the 4th Ed times since I was a D&D Insider subscriber then. I'm pretty sure I have the entire back catalog from issue #1 forward digitized, so I'll have to skim through it later for suggestions.

I bought a playset of cutpurse and footpad for about 4 dollars when I first heard about the deck.

I thought it was going to be some sort of mono-blue Death and Taxes list.

Happy Lief Erikson Day!
Also, Columbus Day, oddly enough.

I know right.

I wish I actually spent more time investing in Magic cards, but the returns are so much worse than they used to be.

In other news, HairlessThoctar, resident occasional poster, got featured in a MaRo article today

And Thanksgiving! ...Do people even care about Columbus day down in the states?

I'd like to say that I'm thankful for all you good folks on NGA. You guys lend my life a lot of meaning.

It's felt important while in school... But out of it, seems it's just a day to be surprised with unexpected bank closures!

Still have to respect his goal.

A lot of more left leaning PC types are pushing to change Columbus Day to "Indigenous People's Day" because he did bad stuff like everyone else did back then. In response, our Idiot in Chief decided to make an executive announcement to stir the pot, because he doesn't really know how to do anything else.
But most people don't care.

Columbus didnt discover anything but he brought this land to the attention of our ancestors. Columbus day isnt a real holiday anyway, but what he did was important enough.

Yeah, no. "Oh look, they also did bad things" is never an excuse. Even by the standards of his time Columbus was a monster, and he doesn't even have that much importance in the great scheme of things: he didn't discover America, he didn't even discover the US, which baffles me as to why americans even consider him important.

The best thing to come out of him was that wacky german animated movie.

I'd rather see the holiday completely phased out than changed to something like 'Indigenous Peoples Day'.
Mostly because I find the argument ridiculous to begin with. Mind, I'm not refuting anything awful Columbus did, but I'm really sick of the PC left trying to politicize everything.

Yes.

And I'm with Barinellos in being sick of it. Not every little thing is worth fighting over. Not every wrong of our forefathers must be somehow redressed by aping sympathy for the ancient aggrieved parties. Left or Right, I'm tired of the 'culture wars'.

In 1492, Christopher Columbus made a transatlantic voyage that effectively kicked off the European Age of Exploration and the colonization of the Americas (and related territories) by the powers of Europe, a long series of events that had many, MANY repercussions. This is an important milestone in history that ought to be known. Whether, once known, it should be revered, vilified, or simply accepted as a thing that happened should be a matter of personal ethics, not public policy.

Masako X was right. Ultra Instinct Goku is kind of SSJ4 that focuses more on spirituality as opposed to SSJ4's physicality. Both are primal, Oozaru aspected in a way (Ultra Instinct Goku started roaring like an Oozaru in his fight with Jiren).

I can't believe I'm so divorced from Dragon Ball stuff that the above sentence looks like something I should understand but instead computes as near gibberish.

^ Goku got a Super Saiyan 4-like powerup. The episode crashed all the steaming sites.

Is this more or less powerful than when he became a god?

anything after the cell saga kinda sucks anyway. DBS manga has been fun so far though.

It made the other gods take notice.
