Best song ever.

The Awesome Lyrics thread in the Off Topic forum got me thinking about this song and that night.

It was one of the best of my life.

Went to go see the Guys (Tim O'brien, Casey Driesen, Dirk Powell and John Doyle) at The Focal Point with the attached Maya Cafe in St. Louis.
I was acquainted with Tim and Casey through The Yonder Mountain String Band and my friend James at KDHX radio in St. Louis.
That allowed me access to the soundboard to plug in my optical cable to a minidisc and get a pristine copy of the night.
After the show I pull Casey aside behind the stage area and spark ourselves out. We get to bs'ing about the music scene and people we have or hadn't seen recently... you know, just getting baked.
After a while we notice the lights dim out so we go back up front and the only light is the entrance door to the Maya and the street lights out the huge front windows showing massive snowfall.
We go into the Maya and my Wife, James and the guys are there with the owner and he's tapping out free Schlafly's Stout.
It's snowing so hard no one wants to go anywhere so we all jammed around the table and drank free stout until 6 am and the plows came through.

They don't make nights like that anymore.

I cobbled together some photos off the net of the venue, the cafe and the guys and put together a video to put up on youtube.

Discovering this band has been pleasant, you have my gratitude.

Was talking to my 2 year old about drums today. He wanted to watch a video, so I found this...it was the longest I've ever seen him sit still....
