What do you think as idea for a round something like
build a deck around a character, that is use x (not sure about the number, 8-10) cards that reproduce the character in the card's art or name. You can only use 1 card that it's actually that character.

I'm only interested in building for that if someone can post a comprehensive list of the available qualifying cards for each character. I don't want to have to scrub through all the art looking for characters.

How about a 100 card deck contest?

Yeah, I would definitely use the Scarlett Johansson Chandra avatar for that one.

The idea of deckbuilding around a character is cool, but probably too hard. Card pool is fairly large and while I can search card names for a character's representation, I can't search engine artwork...

What about Emerge decks? Or maybe Exert decks?

My Grim Nemesis kind of tells the history of Sorin and Avacyn ;D

What about reanimator? We haven't done that yet and its a deck that can be taken in so many directions... Plenty of variety, though it probably has the same consistency issues as ramp.

How about -1/-1 counters or removing creatures from the yard??

I can try it also and tweak it afterwards but its a good starting point, after I played with Hapatra, I got infected too with the -1/-1 counters fever

i played against one last night with Hapatra, the scorpion thing, and the dude that gives +x/+x to all attacking creatures when he attacks where x is his power. The guy had like 18 tokens but I blocked just right and swung for lethal. Still, it was scary and I think would cause concessions on the other side often enough.

Ok I'll build it tomorrow night and give it a spin. I'm going to take a 2.5 week break from Duels after that.

thanks for sharing that deck, Cucho. Before leaving for vacation, I went 3-0 with it on ladder. It's REALLY fun to play.

Ok I went 8-3 with Legends counter deck. Awful

I tried to make it work... but its far from being competitive... I can share my last experiment when I get my hands on the ipad... but the archetype is not good enough... I had worse results than yours so I dont know if its worth sharing.
