Generic 13 power silver isn't really that impressive.
Ocvist is extremely play-aroundable by timing your pass correctly, which drops it from useful to generic 6 power nothing,
Why would generic 13 power silver not be impressive? I mean, you're running Jotunn, and that's a card that has a maximum of 12 power. Sure it could add more if you move non-weathered units into an empty weathered row, but it could also add less if the opponent doesn't have 3 side-by-side units. I feel like there are so many silver cards I want to run but just don't have the space for since the crones provide such valuable thinning. Frightener, Fiend, Fire Elemental, Water Hag, silver weather (particularly looking at Skellige Storm at the moment), and so on.
I also want to at least try Octvist. Passing problem could be mitigated by winning round 1, which is something I get the feeling that I'm giving up too easily and too often. What's your opinion on this situation: you vs. Crach an Craite, with you going first. You have Celeano Harpy, Earth Elemental & crones in hand. Which do you play? Whatever you play, he responds with War Longship. What do you do now?
My games have been going crones -> pass. The alternative is to lead Earth Elemental, then weather his Longship, but then he plays 2nd Longship and the discard damage really starts stacking up. Hakeem as the player from the other side of the board what do you not like to face in this situation?
Oh and I want ALL the gold cards - Geels Caretaker Woodland Spirit. So jealous of Mr. rich man over there ...
@Barney the game is good, you should play
