Goku has killed people for less than what these two kids are doing.

Actually, he's been only ever killed Frieza and an incarnation of Buu.
That said, I assume you mean Zen-oh, in which case... y'know, literal supreme deity.

Little random. but yeah Goku isn't much of a killer (half the people on Team Universe 7 are former villains). And the final shot of this past episode def implies he's not happy with it. I have a feeling something will be done by the end of the arc.

Post tournament who's going to be the big villain of Dragonball? Zen-O sama? The angels? I can't see them just moving on to the next arc without dealing with the consequences of the tournament first.

I'm expecting some wishing shenanigans to solve some of this.

Yeah I don't imagine this arc ending with out something. Like Barinellos said I imagine some wish shenanigans, especially since the super dragon balls are a prize too I think. I'm not sure they are ready to face off against Zen-O sama, cause really They can't beat Beerus really, and Beerus is scared of just one Zen-O, much less 2. Also where do you go after beating the lord of all universes?

With my anthology now available (Eight Years of Light And Dark), I'm thinking of releasing my novel, Fallén Máni, by "aetts", making it sort of a faux trilogy.

Just waiting for the cover commission.

I'm a filthy casual and proud of that.
Competitive crowds really bother me.

In all fairness I have nothing against competitive types, except when they force it on casual groups. Especially under the guise of "Oh I'm just trying to help them become better players" no you're not shut up

This is a looming thing that prompted my statement in the first place.
I love Dragonball. With the upcoming fighting game, there was a feature for it at evo, which is, to be fair, a competitive event.

The problem is, dragonball is rather a notorious 'casuals' franchise.
And it all came to a kerfluffle when two members of the dragonball community were tapped as announcers for the event.
The competitive crowd took substantial umbrage with their lack of adherence to the competitive environment and terminology.

However, while this happenstance was what brought about that statement, I find it true of LOOOOOOTS of stuff. Magic, Overwatch, I'm a filthy casual and damn proud.

I like being competitive with low tier things just to show tryhards that they dont know how to have fun. It never works out.

In other news, Im thinking about buying 2 of the SU art books, one for myself and one to sell if they decide to remove a certain offensive image. Dumbest controversy.

What offensive picture ?

Quote:
Rebecca Sugar, the creator of popular cartoon Steven Universe, has issued an apology in light of online controversy sparked by the recently released Steven Universe: Art & Origins artbook.

For those unaware, the controversy sparked off when a character concept sketch for an unused Gem character that didn’t make it into the show was included. The character, named Concrete, was deemed to be racially insensitive for a number reasons.

Many felt that the character looked plainly inspired by minstrel aesthetic, or like the many offensive variations that came from this racist art-style (I live in Wales, UK, and grew up at a time when Robertson’s used to use these characters to advertise jam, so it was everywhere). Others also noted the character description beside the art note, saying that the character ‘Can’t read :(‘.

Image

As mentioned earlier, Sugar has come back to apologize for the artwork’s inclusion within the artbook.

Image

Many have called out Sugar, and in fact continue to do so, claiming that she is evidently racist.

Now, even the most cursory look at Steven Universe would show that she is not, nor is the show. It should be noted that this character of Concrete was not even designed by Sugar, nor did it make it through to inclusion in the show itself. It merely slipped past into an artbook that collects hundreds or more of minor sketches and notes, and could easily have gotten lost in the mix.

.....

This is not to say that any upset caused by Concrete in the book is undue or even overblown. I think it is clear the kind of feelings that this art can ignite, especially given the history and wider context. But to see the creators admit their failure, give context for how it was created and included and emphatically and sympathetically apologize should not be discounted either.
