Basically, any new challenger gets placed at the bottom of the list, the top player on that list gets to challenge the king.
Win, and you become king.
Lose, and you go back to the bottom of the list to await your turn to challenge the king once again.

Ruling

"One week before the new set comes out, the top 3 kings based on total wins as king and challenging the hill will be counted. Achieving a win total first will suffice for tiebreakers. 2nd and 3rd will play. Winner will earn the right to play the 1 seed for the title of season Overlord, as well as starting the next season as king. Those 2 matches will
be 5 games instead of 3, using a different deck each game. Any decks may be used."

So if a read this right and nothing misses my translation after the scheduled match between Vassi and Zen the 2º-3º place with more wins have to play a match and then the winner challenges the 1º place for the season overlord title.

After that the king should go down the list and the season resets.

Is that about right Mort?

@cucho that's right but as I understand it Marinjorian has been away and had sorta retired from koth. If you guys want we can still do finals but I'd suggest we restart the wib count to better represent our active players

Can we put a deadline on this? Like no update within 24 hours then it resets or whatever. I'm still not clear if we are restarting or not

Well if we don't hear something from 24 hours of my last post we'll move it along. And I'm not certain if we'll reset or not. Opinions, guys?

Sorry for the lack of updates.

Vass and I played. But we could only finish game 1 and got swarmed with connection issues. We are scheduled to play again tomorrow. If it does not work out again, I am more than happy to let Vass take the win and continue down the list.

Reset after a final match. Everyone plays everyone, similar to a league.
This having to play the waiting game just to get a turn is boring.
Timely communication mandatory, otherwise loss/DQ.
Preferably an even number of players so that everyone gets to play.
At least one player per match records/streams.

Once all preliminary matches have been played, it's still possible to go top 8, playoffs, whatever you want to call it.

I think that one key element of KOTH is that is open to everyone, that said we could agree to keep the thead more updated so the matches are effectiveky scheduled and the list keeps moving.

On the reset topic I think that a final match should be played before reseting.

Feels too me like this game has three or four months of life left. I'm happy with whatever we do until the .

I am really happy to see an increased number of enthusiastic pple for koth after the discontinue announcement. But I feel that my timezone and connection issues are preventing you peeps to have more matches played. So please take me off the list for now.

Will definitely be taking part in project mayhem and support the kind helpful organizers when they make it happen. Cheers!

@neon; I like most of your ideas but I'm not sure how we'd do the league. As far as recording goes I think we should encourage it but I'm hesitant to make it mandatory especially since I would be unable to do so

Just a heads-up, when I get in contact with Vassi we'll talk about scheduling finals for this season. I've already spoken to our winningest king Marinjorian and he sadly does not have time for duels so me and Vassi will battle it out. Best of 5 with 5 different decks. Stay tuned guys, I'll be working with Neon and Cucho so we can get together something that's more fun for everyone

In regards to our upcoming event: we're in the early stages and as I understand it we'll be checking out how many might be interested and attempting to bring in a many as possible. Nothing is set in stone yet so anything else I could say would be subject to change
