Hey guys an update I did add DONG to my friends list on steam but haven't been added back. I doubt I can really play at this point anyways as I have had Pneumonia for a while and would like to drop out of the tournament and focus on my health. Most of you will see that my steam game time has been 2.8hrs in the past two weeks meaning most of my time has been spent resting as opposed to gaming. I think it's fair that even though he never added me back he be allowed to progress as I can't really take time out to compete in the tournament. Best of luck to the rest of you and my apologies for not updating you guys sooner.
Don't remember a whole lot since it was 5 games so I recommend just watching, I started off winning the first 2 games fairly comfortably, a combination of him not having the right colours and also dead cards. After sideboard things got much worse as he got to bring in 3 more walkers, he played out chandra defiance in to open mana but resolved and we fight a long battle in which I lose while really close to stabilising with him out of cards, if I had an answer for Chandra I would of took it. Final game unfortunately got mana screwed while not getting to 4 to cast my glimmers and stuck with great cards in hand. Pretty much sums up the problem with control when you have to hope your answers line up at the right time and mardu's great for that reason.
GGs to him and gl rest of tournament, shame it had to end the way it did but i'm pleased with how my deck did against mardu.
I want to say thanks to kryder and Holycrap for organising and gem for continuing it on, that's the end of duels for me which makes me sad but i will stick around to watch the remaining games.
I lose 0-3 Well that sucked I manaflooded all 3 games, fairly unusual for the deck, Gemini had a great start game 1 and I didn't have much answers, he drew very well game 2 and game 3 was somewhat close.
Good games Gem, good luck in the rest of the tourney, you sure can put a lot of pressure on. Thanks for helping to finish the tournament too, much appreciated.

Yondar vs Count Chocula
Spoiler
I lost 0-3. The pattern continues! I suck in the top 8 Game 1: mild mana screw Game 2: severe mana screw after mull to 6 Game 3: the only contested game and Count won it fair and square
Never drew a single vehicle in any of the three games. The sideboard was -2 Scrounger +2 Grasp, so it's not because of the sideboard.
Well, good luck in the semifinals, Count, but I will be rooting for Scum (unless he lost to Shaolin, haven't watched that video yet).
Well, games were very tough, zombie tribal is no joke in terms of swarming table every time you sweep the board. Managed to win 3-0 somehow Game 1. Started on draw, mulliganed twice to 4 lands, Fog and Pore. Got lucky to topdeck Yahenni's, next turn Baral's expertise, so waited for the right moment to use it. Had no land draws for pretty long, but Explosive saved the day, Shaolin stuck on 3 lands for a while, so it gave me some time to react. Found Bounty and dropped it with Baral's, Shaolin deployed Gideon, but Fog and Oblivion Sower helped to get rid of him, also another sweeper helped a lot, and then Ulamog came into play, cropping his lands and leading to victory Game 2. Was on play, got 4 lands starting hand with Tutor, Yahenni's and Oath of Lily, while Shaolin was developing his board, got another Tutor, Pore and ramped a bit with Spring, and when Kalitas showed up, cleaned board with Yahenni's into Oath. He managed to drop more units, while I was keeping only 2 Tutors and lands in my hand. so I choose to search Renewal for ramping and some life gain, and it helps me to drop enough lands to the board, while staying alive, to tutor for languish, cast it and still have mana to activate my Falls to stop his Vent from attacking. Also got Ob, and while he still dies to Unmaking - he did his job killing zombie and generating me my own zombie champ blocker. Shaolin got his Colossus 6/6 and things started to be spicy, both players were topdecking, but my Quaqmire was holding him from attack with it. Managed to deploy Cruel Reality, so Shaolin was spending his mana to re-cast his Wanderer from gy every turn. So turns of stalled game, without much action, I got second Renewal and managed to counter his Gideon, getting me some draws, in which I've found my Bridge, which leads me to victory. Game 3. On the play again, mulliganed to 6 again, kept 3 land hand without my blue color, but had Trial, Bounty and Yahenni's, got my Aether hub only turn 5, so dropped Bounty, but was still lacking my blue, turn 6 cleaned board, and managed to drop Cruel reality turn 7, Shaolin meanwhile deploed with big Lily and dropped Salvation swarming board with tokens, probably was thinking to grab lord back with Lily, but I had Never and Fog, so managed to kill her and cleared board again. And all this time I was stack on 4 mana without blue, got my Evo Wilds turn 10 or 11, so I was a lot back in terms of mana and color screwed as well. I went for Return on his Wanderer, and he had Scrounger in gy as well, but he didn't use it on Wanderer, but on other zombie, no idea why. While keeping my defence I managed to tempo him with Baral's into Tutor, looking for my third sweeper. After that I fixed my mana, found Bridge, got card advantage and managed not to lose Good games, Shaolin, it was worthy challenge.

Nope, never missed the top 8. If we had badges for all Showdowns, my sig would be more ridiculous than Vert's by now (if that's possible at all) and unlike his -- all stuff that matters
