Fellas,
Due to a serious lack of motivation anymore, I'm closing down the tournament.
Part of this is people dropping like flies, but a large portion is I really stopped caring after the announcement. I have had several free days where I could have booted up the game but, like many others, just had no desire to do so.
I have already refunded the donations from this tournament back to the donors and gotten confirmation via paypal that it has been sent. If there are still players who wish to finish out the tournament, I would suggest contacting InFaMoUsGeMiNi as he is playing in both tournaments, still seems to have drive, and has been keeping track manually of the tournaments with as much precision as his knowledge allowed. That decision is completely up to him though prizes for the tournament are no longer available.
I want to thank everyone who helped with these tournaments and made them better by their participation, donation, or support. You were all the unsung heros of the community.
And I want to thank everyone I have met while playing both Duels and DotP series in the past. I've met some incredible, entertaining personalities over the past few years. I hope to see you all in the future, either in the Magic scene or elsewhere our paths may cross. I am not saying this as a farwell; I'm sure I'll be back. But, I am taking a break since there is no replacement forthcoming and the other digital offerings out there just don't interest me.
I wish everyone the best!
Kryder
I'm without words on this one. You're telling me because YOU have lost interest in the game, you're going to drop the tournament and leave 13 other guys hanging?
You're not even playing! Just organize the thing. Without an objective referee this tournament can't work. I don't mean to throw the guy under the bus, but Gemini is a participant. How is he supposed to remain impartial when he has motive to win?
With Gemini running this tournament, this is going to be Xbox KOTH all over again.
Of all people I thought Kryder and CGB would be the big dogs and stick it out. How could I have been so wrong
